I bought this less than w months ago. I loved the thickness and the stretch however it began coming apart after a few weeks. At this point its almost totally separated. This is amazing!!! I always had to put on about 3 regular shower caps when I have my box braids and started looking around for a jumbo one and found this. This is the PERFECT size for my braids! This shower cap is really big and is roomy enough for my very long hair even when it's in a high ponytail. The elastic is quite strong and it keeps ALL my hair dry, it's a bit awkward to wear at first since it's very stiff but you get used to it after a while. I've been using it for about 5 months now and it still looks and feels like new. It's very sturdy so I know it will last me for a long time. What's so great about it is that it's easy to wash and very quick to dry. Wake up ladies! Most shower caps are so small that they flatten your hair, despite being really cute. This is so much more realistic, a great improvement for those of us who have curls ( I made a few cuts to the elastic to stretch out along the scalp, not wanting any constriction or tightness). Not just for long hair! Not just for Blacks (who are often away ahead of us White dummies in practical fashion and solutions - besides music, intellectual art, professional accomplishments...) Finally a shower cap that actually fits!! I’ve bought so many different brands that claim to be XL, XXL, or jumbo and when I try them on they sit perched on top of my head like a vinyl beret. After reading the reviews I decided to take a chance and I’m so glad I did! This fits my big ol noggin perfectly with room to spare for my long hair (almost waist length, med-high density). It’s pretty cheap quality, some sort of thin rubbery material that gives it stretch but compromises its endurance. The stitching on the elastic band is coming loose after less than a month and a hole in the cap formed where the thread pulled away. If you have thin, Caucasian/Asian it might make sense, but the pictures in the ad clearly show a black woman with bigger hair extensions so I don’t know why they’d try to market to a demographic they clearly can’t accommodate.If I’d just gone to the dollar store it would have cost me a third of the price and it would be about as effective (read:not very effective at all).I tried to put in a return request, but I have to pay return shipping all the way back to China. Doesn’t make sense for a $12 shower cap so I just have to eat the cost and consider it a lesson learned. Read more
