This is super important! Buy extra batteries!!! After only a month or so of use (my son plays with it in the car), it started to die where some pages wouldn't play and some would start to play and then stop. I thought it was defective and actually got a return authorization from Amazon. Thankfully, I thought to try new batteries, and it worked again straight away. I put the old batteries back in to make sure it wasn't that the original batteries had just gotten unseated, but those didn't work.My son has this one and the musical instruments book. He prefers the musical instruments book.I really like how easy it is for him to activate the sounds--he is 18 months old, but all of his cousins that are older than him enjoy these as well. I don't know what it is about this book, but my 2 year old grandson loves it. Maybe it is the Australian accent...not quite sure! We have the farm animals book. However, I feel these books are very over priced as we have had it for about 2 weeks, and I have already taped the binding since it started to tear. Read more

These books are amazing. My 18month old has destroyed many a board book but these are super durable! They are his absolute favorite and he brings one with his blanket to me at least 10 times a day to read a story.Word of warning, you’ll hear the same 5 seconds of the songs on repeat, but your kid will absolutely love it! My son and I both love this book. Its so much fun for him to hear the real animal sounds. He gets very excited when we get to the last page and its time to sing the song. My only complaint, and its more funny than anything, is the little guy singing has an accent and he is singing e-I-e-I-o and the "o" sounds more like an "a". Confusing for little kids maybe trying to learn. But otherwise this is our go-to for my 8 month old. Read more

We bought these books (farm animals and nursery rhymes) for our little one who is 9-month old. He loves them, and is very intrigued by the music/sounds, which is great.The books are really great:- The pages are easy to turn for little hands, and the child can quickly remember where to put his finger to play the music / sound- The book itself is strongly made, and will resist being chewed / spat on- Nice vibrant colors, and the characters/design are very cute- Great to have variety between sounds and also music (our daughter who is 3 was happy to sing along to the nursery rhymes)We will definitely order some more to explore new sounds/music, but we are very happy with these books. My grandson got his first book when he was 11 months old. He now has 7 because he loves them so much and so do his grandparents. The books are well made, easy to use for a little one, entertaining, and have bright illustrations. He often reads them by himself (he is 13 months now), tries to sing along and dance along. My son LOVES the Ditty Bird books, the real animal sounds are the best! I basically use them when I need to get a mall shop out of the way, they're entertaining for the toddler but not even close to annoying as they aren't loud annoying songs. Read more
