I have arthritis of my thoracic spine (amongst other joints in my body). I had been given an ointment for the arthritis in my knees. When the pain in my upper spine began to be a problem the doctor said to use the ointment. The problem - quite simply I couldn't reach the areas needed. I live alone, but my daughter found this item on Amazon and said I should try it. I did.It works wonderfully. I can reach all areas of my back. This item as advertised as a "long" handled lotion applicator. I am very tall and limited on my mobility so I needed a long brush to reach my legs and feet as they are very dry from having diabetes. This brush is short and I cant even reach my ankles with it. It is maybe average length at best.The brush itself is ok. I would have gladly paid more for a longer brush. I've had no luck finding one so I was thrilled when this one said long. All I can say is that I'm disappointed in the advertising. Read more

Work ok for 5 uses & then the changeable always pads fall off when applying lotion or sunscreen to your back. Better design would be to make the flat part smooth plastic with no attachable pads to fall off. Unfortunately, the plastic piece under the removable pads is rough like a velcro material which makes it unusable without the changeable cloth pads. :( Read more

I bought this, because I needed to apply a lotion to my back. Living alone, I had no one in the house who could help me with this. Using the applicator, I was able to do a satisfactory job of applying the lotion. The only disadvantage to this method is that you will use about four times as much lotion as you normally would than if you had someone to help you. The applicator comes in blue or pink, but they don't give you a choice of colors. They sent me pink when I would have preferred blue. Read more
