I purchased this playpen for my 10 month old grandson. My daughter loves it because she was able to put the playmates in it as well as most of the toys. My grandson has started to walk and this playpen offers the space for him to be able to freely walk but still be safe. My daughter and my son-in-law have actually got in the playpen with the baby and there was still plenty of room!! The playpen is sturdy and does not bend or buckle when my grandson pulls up on it. I want to start off by saying that this item...is a life saver! It allows you to keep your child in a safe controlled environment while not having them confined, bored or worse..unable to walk around.This pen is big! It offers an ample amount of space for toys while still giving my little guy room to wander around. The pen's poles seem flimsy, but we haven't had any issues of them cracking or breaking. At the same time, if they were harder or studier I would be worried if he stumbles and hits them with his head. They seem to be the right amount of sturdy without being dangerous.Also worth noting, the padding around the sides is good enough, but the floor of the pen is thin nylon material with no padding. We had a play mat that fit perfectly inside which protects the floor from rips, and also had a padded play mat that we put underneath outside to provide some cushion for the occasional fall.Assembly was easy enough for mom to assemble this by herself in a little over a half hour, so not too bad.So why only three stars? Well, unfortunately the stitching is starting to come apart in a few areas. They are small, and admittedly could be caused by my little guy leaning against the walls, but they are growing! I would have assumed knowing that the pen is going to be used for children who play would mean the stitching should have been stronger.I am not sure what we are going to do to keep the holes from growing larger, perhaps sow in a patch. And now that my son has seen the holes, we are having a hard time keeping him from putting his little fingers in there.If the stitching was sturdier, and the floor had more cushioning...this would totally be a 5* winner! Well, my 8 months old need a secure location while he play in the living room, so I decide to give this item a chance n went with it. After checking out few similar brand, I like this concept n feature on this playpen the most. I’ll listed the pro n con below.Pro: very sturdy. Foldable U can actually adjust the shapeCon: instruction vague n I believe it was for older Model. Not 2021 version No padding on vertical bar. Baby still can tip over n hit their head. My baby did. On panel with door, the fabric netting zipper is on one side n the door zipper is on other side. Even though the zipper tag is taper in with Velcro. I think there still chance baby can still grab n undo it.But all in all, I’m still pretty satisfy with this item. I still manage to put it together fairly easy even though the instruction wasn’t on point. The bar is not padded but I’m sure once my baby sit strong enough, there no worry of him tipping over. The best part to this is that the package come with 8 panel. So u can use all 8 panel n make a perfect square. Or like myself, just use 6 and make a rectangular shape instead. You will measure this and think you know how big it will be, but it's bigger! Once you get used to how much space it takes up, and mourn the loss of your coffee table which is now in the garage, it's really great.Our son is 10 months, crawling but not walking yet and not steady on his feet, so I need to stay in there with him but we both enjoy it a lot. Exactly what we were after. The playpen is huge, easy to assemble and sturdy. It also looks good as it’s a soft grey tone and would suit any room.Takes up a lot of space as expected and we don’t mind one bit. We are moving home soon so this pen saves us baby proofing a home unnecessarily. It will also be useful during the chaos of settling into and unpacking at our new home as little one will be crawling by then and need a safe space.The colourful pull up hoops are a nice touch and our baby surprised us by easily holding her own weight on them for a short while!I’ve also found it helps with daytime napping as I can feed her in the pen laying beside her and she will then continue her sleep in here while sneak out to get a few bits done. Prior to this we were contact napping every nap and I had no time to get anything done!All in all very pleased indeed, would recommend.I purchased a playmat to go on the bottom of the pen and have it on top of a large fluffy rug to so it’s very comfortable. I don't usually write reviews but this has been an actual lifesaver. My son is nearly 8 months and is ready to explore his surroundings but we realised quite quickly that we cannot baby proof everything. So we bought this playpen so we can put him in a clean and safe area.The pen has exceeded expectationsPros:- The fabric material is light, breathable and soft, my son loves to ram his face in the mesh walls and he has never been hurt.- It's absolutely massive which is great so I don't feel bad about leaving him in there for the best part of the day while I and the Mrs works.- The frame is super sturdy, he tries to stand up using the walls and it doesn't shift.- It's easy to put up, did it is a short period of time without instructions.Cons:- The only downside is the mat on the floor isn't padded at all. To remedy this, we bought a mattress topper and put it underneath which makes the floor bulge up a bit, but not too much, he can roll tumble and fall and he won't get hurt.I would highly recommend this. I knew that this would be quite large for my room but mistakenly thought that I would be able to half the size of it. Unfortunately this was not possible and the height blocked the TV view. It took me about 25 minutes to put together. While constructed it was sturdy and safe - seems like a good quality product and my little 10 month old enjoyed it. However there is no soft base so something needs to be put down underneath if using on a hard floor. Customer service was very helpful to deal with. The only negative is that it cannot be quickly taken down as it was too big to keep up in the room all the time. Read more
