The weight on the face is just right, providing just enough pressure to help clear the sinuses. I love this eye pillow because of the silky coolness and soft scent. Was looking for an eye mask that would stay warm to help relieve my congested sinuses. This mask does not stay warm for very long at all when heated in the microwave according to the directions. It does work great if kept in the freezer and used as a cooling eye mask but I could have bought a much less expensive one that would have been just as good. It does have a nice spa-like smell.
