I bought this one as the derma pen I had from the brand uryouth kept dragging on my skin which can damage it. I bought the a6s since it had the digital speeds and it has thinner needles which is less likely to cause damage. The thinner needles cut down on the healing time also. When I got it was short 2 needles I contacted the seller and they responded quickly. They sent out a 10 pack of needles to make it right and it arrived in 2 days! The pen itself is amazing! I am so happy with this pen! I purchased it hoping that it would help to minimize a scar on my leg and to help ease some fine lines on my face. My scar is less noticeable... and appears to not be as thick and I've definitely noticed an improvement in the fine lines on my face and just an overall improvement in my complexion and color. I have using dermaroller for micro needling for about 5 years. I decided to try Dr. Pen for many reasons, first because the needles get dull, so no, the dermaroller is not to last forever. You have to keep buying them. The cartridges are disposable but using in myself I use it twice. Even though on middle term end up being cheaper. Second, really works! The control of depth is an amazing feature and somehow I had the feel that penetrates better in my skin. Feels like 0.5mm is different from 0.5mm on the dermaroller. I don’t know if that makes sense. What happens is that, is the pen making the pressure of the needles against your skin, not yourself making pressure with the dermaroller.
