It's a pretty good soap. But as the label describes...It's SUGAR soap. I didn't have to foresight to see that it would give me ANT problems. I had ants all over my house just aimlessly wandering. Probably because they couldn't pinpoint the smell. But a week later, they found the source. I had ants allllll over my shower. I can't use this soap anymore..It's useless to me. See attached pic. This is a wonderful soap. I love the smell and it works amazing. This is the second time I've bought it from Amazon however and it has been damaged. The first time the cap was broken and I thought no big deal, these things happen. This time I just received it in the soap is broken open in the bag and is everywhere. They essentially delivered me a bag of soap. Not very happy when this costs$18. Dr bronners is fine, Amazon needs to get their act together and package this better. Read more

As the title suggests I was skeptical about these products but due to reoccuring dandruff as well as keratosis pilatris I decided to give it a try. And in just 5 days I notice a significant differnce with all around improved skin. My hair is cut to medium-long length past my shoulders and my hair is very fine, straight and blonde. I have as much of not more body than with traditional products. The soap itself is a thin brown liquid and two pumps is enough to get a nice lather. It is mild but sweet in taste and if you get it in your eye it's not horrible but I wouldn't call is tear free either. The smell is slightly acrid but also earthy and clean. I would consider it a mildly masculine smell but it does not have any negative lingering smell - hubby says I just smell clean and he likes it. But next time I will lean to a citrus or lavender scent. I have used it head to toe with one additional pump on a scrubbie, including shaving. The only "negative" is that the moment you rinse it out of your hair, the hair feels stripped like it had never seen conditioner, ever. Don't panic. I simply wrap my hair in a towel and go about my routine. When I unwrap it, I have no issue running a wide tooth comb through it and the dryer it gets the softer and smoother it becomes. I will likely try the conditioner - not so much for my daily use but maybe weekly.I am really happy with this product and as we are slowly transitioning to a more eco friendly lifestyle, I look forward to the other products. I've been systematically ridding my home of SLS and other questionable ingredients, and while I love Dr. Bronner's castile soap, it can be very drying. I was immediately pleased with the light, clean scent of this soap, and I tested it tonight in the shower both on my body and hair. I can't believe how good it was on my hair! It's not recommended for colored hair because the alkalinity can erode color, but my hair is bleached so I'm not worried about that. I was worried about it being too drying but it isn't! I did use a natural cream rinse afterwards, but my hair was tangle free, shiny and full of body.I do find it milder than the castile soap, but definitely still need a moisturizer after showering, although my skin is sensitive and dry especially in the winter. Still, I'm very happy and will order this again! Read more

Dr. Bronner's consistently guarantees pure and versatile products, made by a company that has been in business for decades (1929). I have used the peppermint castile soap since 1975. Dr. Bronner's 4-in1 Lemongrass Lime Organic Sugar Soap, a recent discovery for me, has become one of my favorites. Always dilatable, the variety of "flavors" offer the very best cleansing for your external body, clothing, dishes and more. The competitive price and a reputation for excellence has made me a lifetime buyer. Read more

Got this soap since it was on my dermatological "safe list" hand-out. This is my second bottle and it's growing on me.It WORKS great - but the smell was what I initially had issues with. It smells like.... like... a pan of fried maple bacon... Sounds great, right?... after it's all been eaten and is being hand-washed with dish soap. Certainly not the worst smell in the world, but also not something a prissy girl like me would ideally pick (though my husband loves it). It does wash off clean so you won't actually smell like maple-syrup bacon and dish soap when you get out. I don't notice this soap having "moisturizing" properties per se, but I no longer break out in scaly, itchy eczema patches all over, so yay! You just feel clean.Secondly, this soap hurts like a b**** if you get it in your eyes, but on the flip side, it tastes great when you accidentally get it in your mouth. It lathers well, which is a must-have for me. I'd take this soap over the nasty consistency of Cetaphil any day. Read more

I have a ton of skin allergies (allergic contact dermatitis) as well as very sensitive skin. The only soap I’ve been able to use for years is Dove unscented (FYI the worst reaction I’ve ever had was with Kiss My Face plain unscented olive oil bar soap!), and lately even the Dove unscented has bothered me. Thankfully, I found this wonderful soap. It not only doesn’t trigger my allergies, but is so gentle my skin has actually healed. The unscented Baby Sugar Soap is now my go-to, and I’m beyond thrilled to find it for a reasonable price in this large pump bottle. The pump itself is high quality too, which is really nice, as I plan to get the refill at some point (forty bucks is still hard to stomach dropping at once for soap). I have also tried the peppermint and had no problems with that one either. I’m highly allergic to tea tree oil, so I will be skipping that one! Read more

if you are soaping your hands with this, you will get bruises damages on your skin, also feels like drying my skin because it is too strong, So maybe i have sensitive skin, but it does that even after one usage. Won't be using this on my skin. They should change the formula i think for skin. But it smells clean. Also pump clogs up so often. 3 stars for being natural. Read more
