I saw this question asked and answered incorrectly. An annoying feaure with Dove, is that Shampoo & Conditioner do not sit on the distribution end of both bottles. The Shampoo does not.... you have to turn it over and shake out the shampoo. However, the conditioner is turned on it's distribution end. Further, if you do not have your glasses or contacts on while showering; you can not see the very small print that designates which it is. For years I have taken a marker and written S & C on the bottles, so I can see it when water is pouring over my head. Oh, this smell is awful...I feel like the product itself is pretty nice. Great lather, nice soft feel to the hair when dried- but the smell of the product is just awful to me. Maybe it’s just me. It’s extremely thick, heavy, and smells a little like burned plastic to me. The smell on my hair is giving me a headache. I simply cannot use this again. Just had a thought- smells like if you condensed 10 Dove original scent moisture bars....think they were going for that...but just far too heavy of a scent. Read more

I have 4C hair and this shampoo is great. It washes my hair and doesnt leave it dry, and to combine it with the conditioner actually started to define my curl pattern (trust me that's big). So my 4C ladies that are looking for another shampoo that isn't overly expensive because its "made for 4C hair" this is definitely a great option I've been using it for years now since the big chop. Wow, not sure why this combo (compared to other Dove I've bought) was so disappointing. I feel perhaps my well water played a role in it, since it made my hair feel very dry after use. I tried it for several days but decided it was not going to work for me. It has the classic Dove scent which I find appealing. Read more

I love these so much! They smell amazing and my hair is so silky (i use coconut oil after using these) one thing to note though is my hair is naturally wavy/curly so maybe not the best idea for me to be using but looks great when my hair has been straightened! Read more

I was looking for a cheap option for a shampoo and conditioner. I use the body wash so thought this product would be ok. The fragrance is so strong. As soon as I got out of the shower my head was itchy and my face even felt itchy. I washed my hair twice with a different shampoo and conditioner before the smell came out of my hair. Read more

I used this for 4-6 weeks. it is ok if you're alternating products and only use this once on a while. It makes hair feel very soft. However, 24 hours after shampooing my hair, it would be flat, greasy, and bad scalp build up. Simply not a good shampoo for actually cleansing hair, sadly. Read more
