Have long purchased Dove Body Wash from drugstore or market. Switched to Amazon and product seemed different. After three bottles from Amazon, I bought a new bottle from drugstore to compare. The soaps were DIFFERENT! Same exact label, down to product numbering, listed ingredients and place of manufacture. BUT side by side comparison of the soap itself was clear they are different. Amazon version has consistency of runny lotion, had almost no fragrance. Drugstore version had mild scent, pump of soap held shape, light and foamy. One pump of drugstore yielded more than same pump from Amazon. Amazon version slightly gray compared to Drugstore.In photo - Amazon on right (smaller).I have canceled subscription and returned item explaining all of this to Amazon.I don’t want to believe that my favorite products are not reliable when purchased on Amazon. I still purchase salon hair products here. But customers should check - and tell Amazon when their supplier is not reliable. Read more

Dove advertises this product as unscented. This product has a scent and a very strong one. Fragrance is the number one offender for sensitive skin. If Dove wants to sell a product that is really for sensitive skin, they should make it fragrance free. I'd love to use Dove body washes but their scents are too strong.Also the bottle arrived bent, dirty and some product had spilled out of the bottle. Read more

I'm allergic to sulfates pretty bad, I can't wash my hands or use ANYTHING with SLS or I'll peel or get a rash. I expected that this would be fine because usually perfumes don't bother me as much as sulfates or parabens but I guess whatever cheap perfume they use really irritates my skin since i have large clusters of rashes 24 hours after use. If you're like "basic" level sensitive where you're not really ALLERGIC to anything but cheap stuff irritates you a bit this will probably work just fine for you, but if you have to shop at like exclusively the clean section at Sephora this probably won't be "hypoallergenic" enough for you. I am a champion of liquid soaps as opposed to bar soaps because liquid soaps are self-contained and you can pour or squeeze out what you need without contaminating the rest of it with germs from your hands in addition to bar soap slipping out your hands while in the shower.I was visiting the city of Detroit and staying with a friend for 6 days and he had the regular Dove liquid soap in his bathroom. I really liked it and felt moisturized after my shower, so I made a mental note to look it up when I got home and order some for myself.I was previously suffering from skin dermatitis (though I got through that), so it is important I use soaps FREE of sulfates, parabens and such. I got this Dove soap because it was for "sensitive skin" and "sulfate free" plus I have been previously using their Dove "sensitive skin" bar soap.Overall, the product is excellent. I use just one squeeze of the pump per day to clean my whole body with a loofah. I have used this product for about 2 months now and definitely have more than half the bottle (34 ounce size) left, so I figure it'll last at least 4 to 5 months in total which is a good value.I knocked off one star from this product because it does have a fragrance added to the formula which is unnecessary and artificial in nature. I don't understand why this Dove "sensitive skin" liquid soap has fragrances added to it when the company's Dove "sensitive skin" bar soap does NOT have fragrances added in! l wish they would change the liquid soap product and make it without the fragrance and then it'd be a polished product all around.As it stands, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it! I’ve used this product for years. This is definitely not the same product. My bottle isn’t even made in the US. The ingredients on the bottle are different from what this site says. My daughter uses the same product and this irritated her skin. It even smells different. Don’t buy if you’re looking for the real Doce Sensitive Body Wash. Read more

Do not buy this product on Amazon! I don’t have sensitive skin but my goodness this is awful! After using this for a few days, my skin started to itch all over. I thought it was a new allergy or something else. I have used the same products and the only “new” one I purchased was this from Amazon. I don’t know what’s in this crap but I literally itch. The other night my hands got super itchy and red, broke out in rashes all over my body. I almost went to the ER it was so bad. I had a rash on my neck, face, back, thighs, and butt. Whatever in this stuff is not hypoallergenic it’s a rip off and it messed me up.A few months ago, I purchased toothpaste on Amazon and my mouth broke out in cold sores. I am so in love with this body wash. I used to use Olay exfoliating sea salt body wash and I loved it. I just happened to go to Walmart one day and they didn’t have it to I bought this on a whim. My skin is so soft and supple since using this. My body usually strangely gets used to body washes after using them for awhile and they don’t work as well (sounds weird I know) but this is the only body wash I haven’t experience that with besides for the Olay. I love this so much that I also started using the Olay sensitive skin beauty bar on my more private areas and the sensitive antiperspirant/deodorant. Great price for the value!
