I waited to write this, as I researched it for legitimacy. This has been my signature scent for many years. When CD decided to not sell it in the US, I was able to buy it in Duty Free Shops in Mexico. They discontinued that. For years, I went without. I read all the reviews on here, good and bad and bought a bottle. It was OK.Yesterday I call CD corporate office and the bottom line is "They Brought It Back" by popular demand. This is now not only available on their US website - I just bought a bottle, but it is back in most major department stores. I have worn this fragrance for many many many years!I have always received compliments and the fragrant smell has lasted on me all day!With this last purchase of Three bottles, there is a huge difference. This has always been my favorite cologne, however, the cologne that was in the bottle was a fake version I paid over $75. I can’t return it because I waited too long to notice it wasn’t the same. I wear several different colognes this was my favorite. I was wondering why no one said it smelled nice. I loved this in the nineties. Been watching for it to come to a reasonable price and find a seller I thought was selling authentic product. Truth is, I really don't know if this is authentic or not. It seems to smell familiar, but it does not last like DIOR scents usually do. And I can usually drive everyone from the room the way I spray it and I have offended no one with this one. Someone with more research and knowledge of how to authenticate perfumes/colognes/toilettes should do us all a favor and post on each seller so we know exactly what we are getting. This fragrance does not smell like the original Dolce Vita. I have used this product for the last 32 Years and simply loved the product. This last order smelled nothing like the original. I always loved this perfume .. and always had people say how good it smelled. Well, this bottle of perfume doesn't hold a smell. After about 10-15 minutes...there isn't any smell at all. Not the same fragrance scent as the original from 1995. It seems to be "watered" down. My old bottle has a darker tint coloring gold. This new bottle is a very faint yellow. My husband noticed it did not smell the same. Not as potent where one small spray would stay all day. This one doesn't last even a few hours. The reviews are correct: it is not the smell that you remember BUT, since it hasn’t been sold by my favorite department for a very long time, this one is ok. When I decided that I could afford to splurge again, and pulled out my wish list, I could only find it locally in the wholesale garment district and wasn’t certain that I’d have a return policy that suited me.It used to take only a very small squirt to last all day, so I’m still trying to find the best amount to apply.
