This seat has nothing to keep it in place. I had already shown it to my granddaughter and she was excited, so there was no way that I was going to disappoint her. I used my drummer tool to remove areas that were part of the problem, then I made a template to cut some non-skid foam with a sticky side. As other reviewers pointed out, the toilet seat does not fit well and moves around a bit. However, I bought the set because we were potty training our daughter and she refused to poo in the toddler potty or the toilet with a toddler seat (I had both). Her teacher suggested I make the toilet 'fun' with pictures for her to look at. Makes sense, poo-ing takes time. So i bought this along with some Disney Princess stickers to put around the toilet area, and it did help, she was engaged. After a couple months , she now poos in the toilet and is entirely potty trained. Yay! Read more

My daughter thinks its awesome because its a big girl potty! BUT the seal does not fit our toilet. So it slips and moves everywhere. I am so worried she will fall, so I have to hold it in place. Our toilet seat is oval shaped. I honestly do not know of that many toilets that are shaped like this is made for. They need to accommodate the seat to fit the average household toilet size. I was reading a lot of the reviews, even the 5 star ones were complaining about size. That's my fault. I should have paid more attention to that aspect. But it still sucks. The stool saved the review, honestly. It has the rubber grips all over it, so I am more confident in my daughter using that part without my help. And she knew to grab the handles as soon as she sat down her first time. Now, if I could keep it from sliding around the toilet, that would be nice. I bought this for my toddler when it was time to move her from a small potty chair to the actual toilet. It's so easy to use and move when she's done. She can even put the seat on herself. The stool is really handy for her to be able to reach the potty. Both are simple to clean and there aren't any hard to get to spots. I’ve used potty Seats like this before and haven’t had a problem but the cushion did t let my daughters butt drop down enough and it the pee collected in between the plastic and the cushion.
