Order up AT LEAST 2 sizes from what your child currently wears. The 6 fit him like a 4T. We ordered it again, only in an 8. Bought this sweatshirt for my 2-year-old son who LOVES Cars. He is 36.5 inches and 30lbs and normally wears size 2T. I got him a 3T so he has time to grow into it. It’s not a heavy sweatshirt at all; perfect for the fall weather or chilly room. Not that big overall, sleeve length is great. Love that it’s quarter length zipper so he can get it off as easily (he got used to going out without a jacket in the summer). So far the design is good quality, held up to 3 washes and in the dryer. Love this toy story sweater! Material is nice and soft, and the head hole is nice and big with the shirt zipped down. No issues with scratching when taking it off either.
