Chances are that you already have a Diono convertible seat and are considering getting this mat. In that case, there is no reason to get this if the car seat is rear facing as it provides no protection to the seat itself (think muddy, dirty shoes grinding on your nice leather seat). I bought these mostly to keep the car seat from indenting my seats too much. Also to protect against should and such. These are perfect! I have a 2014 Ford Fusion and bought two of these. One for a convertible front facing away and one for under an infant seat base. They both fit perfectly. Not sure the pockets in front are very helpful, but you could keep little things in them like a toy or slim sippy cup.The quality seems pretty good so far. I have leather seats in my car so I wanted to get this to protect the new leather. Well, It protected it, HOWEVER it left black residue from the rubber mat onto the leather. It was actually the same design on there and everything. It just transferred to the leather! YIKES! Luckily with some leather cleaning products it wiped right off. I think this would work better for someone with cloth seats possibly or with a towel under it. (thats how we are currently using this) Read more

I tried these out for one of our cars, when we converted our twins to backless boosters. They turned out to be the perfect seat protection... so we bought 2 more for the other car. I would recommend these for backless booster only. Also, we live in Las Vegas and because of the summer heat, and these having the non-skid backing, we placed a small towel under the seat protector. These may be perfectly fine without a towel under, but I didn't want to take a chance. I only feel comfortable doing so because we have the backless boosters that latch to the car. Read more

Quality and style with easy of use make this an excellent product. I previously had purchased an all-in-one travel accessory kit by Jeep which contained a seat protector too. That seat protector was essentially a thick tarp with mesh pockets at the bottom. It did not have a piece to help secure it to the actual seat of the car and it was so slippery that it was quite difficult to get it to stay in the right place while trying to put a car seat on top. It also didn't have the "backsplash" that the Diono has. The Diono has a rubbery grip on both sides and a solid lining of foam. It is wide enough for our Graco Nautilus seat without being too wide. We have it in our 2012 Camry right now, but I'm ordering another one for the 2012 Sienna since it is so much better than the Jeep product I still have there (which does nothing to protect against deep indentations in the upholstery either). We bought a new car with leather seats, we were worried the car seat would cause damage. This makes it so the car seat doesn't slide and also gives extra pockets. The back flap protects the seat up high too and allows the buckle to sit in between and stay put. I am very happy and grateful my seats will stay protected and my son will stay safe. Read more

Good quality, seems to do what it says. I have given it four stars only because 1. It's still usable but doesn't quite fit nicely or neatly into a BMW X1. I had to wiggle it and move it around as it protrudes over the seatbelt fasteners, which these days are fitted into the seat more, rather than loosely with some belt or bar allowance. This meant the cut out in the seat pad didn't quite want to allow it to fit around them. They still work, without being tailored to fit, just not as neatly fitted as would be the case in some models of car. Maybe a slightly wider cut on this part would help.2. I would've liked the option of the stitching to have been black to match, instead of red, making the seat pads blend in more with the interior and not stand out so much. But this such a minor grumble and of course, I knew this wasn't an option on purchasing.They still get 4 stars as will do the job, with a little push and shove on the material surrounding the fasteners. Absolutely love this. After purchasing a new car with leather interior, I quickly noticed that my two child seats were leaving marks! I very quickly purchased these and they have fixed the problem entirely. There's a little pad that slips down the back of the seat which holds it in place so doesn't slip and slide at all. There are cut outs to make space for seatbelts and isofix attachments as well as handy little pockets at the front (although not entirely sure we'll ever use these) Definitely recommend however! I bought this item as it was described as non slip - top and bottom. The kids booster seats always slid around on the chair making it difficult for them to get in and out of the car.The bottom is non slip and works perfectly on a leather seat. The top however, still allows the booster seat to slide around - just as bad as before. The width is also slightly too big for my car (which is unfortunate as all products seem to be the same width stopping the kids from being able to get the seat belt in the latch as it is now covered up.So much promise but sadly for me missed the mark. Impressed with these. Really easy to install, accommodate isofix mountings and keep a lot of muck and indentations away from the actual seats. A bonus few little pockets at the front for storage. Seem very well made. Read more
