So I had to order 3 of these carseats and it for sure was not taken lightly as these are pricey. BUT in the end we absolutely love them. They fit perfectly in Chrysler pacifica 3rd row. First the good--super easy to clean--very narrow(the only issue is they are very long so if you are rear facing as you can see in the photo it sticks out alot)--Buckles are SO easyCons--i have 3 kids and have installed many a carseat. When I say these are by far the hardest I mean it. Im not sure if it was because we have so many or so close together but whatever the case this is not a carseat you Uninstall all willy nilly.I am very happy with this carseat and if you have 3 under 2 like me, just buy it and save yourself the time of trying to make 10 other carseats fit 3 across. Car seat is HEAVY! So for a small person like me, installing was straightforward, but exhausting. HOWEVER! I had my son in this car seat when we got t-boned by a speeding pickup truck. We got hit on my side (passenger) and my son was behind me because I am short and getting him out of the middle seat was too difficult in a big F-150 (I learned my lesson!). I suffered a broken skull, fractured eye socket, and brain hemorrhage that required emergency surgery. I have a long recovery ahead of me, BUT MY SON WAS UNHARMED!!!! I strongly believe this car seat saved his life. My son came out of that wreck without so much as a scratch. Attending EMS told me that they expected nothing but corpses upon arriving, and where very surprised to find us not only alive, but mostly unharmed.All in all, this is a very sturdy car seat, easy to install with the base. My son has always been comfortable in it, and he is a hefty boy. I do wish it was made of a sturdier fabric as my son spills everything and the cover isn't as washable as I would hope for. It stands up to a delicate cycle by itself just fine, but some messes require more scrubbing that this cover wouldn't stand up to. Regardless, I would absolutely recommend this car seat. All of the nurses tending to me asked about the car seat once they found out my son had been in the wreck and saw how happy and healthy he was. I recommended this Diono to all of them!! Read more

Got three of these (see original review) , just bought my Daughter in law one as she took the spare and wants the same set up . The seat arrived today , it's in a bashed up box I can see is a return. The packing inside is retaped and bits are missing . This is so shabby . I am sending back for replacement as I didn't buy an open box . Sort it out Amazon , I'm not the only buyer to get a used seat .ORIGINAL POSTBought 3 of these for a 2015 Grand Cherokee , useless unless you want to be pushed up against the steering wheel, I wouldn't bother with the middle , I am now using a Chicco Convertible for the rear facing for my 6 month old . In 18 month time I'll get another Diono 3R for the middle forward facing as that set up is perfect .These seats are just too tall for rear facing . Otherwise everything else is OK with the seats . It was really hard to install. We used a grace infant seat that was super easy. I have a doctorate, and I read the manual cover to cover before starting. Half an hour, cuts in my knuckles, and a full body sweat brought me back to the manual. Couldn’t get it tight enough. Googled and watched some car seat lady YouTube videos- she had a hack I tried and finally got it right. I was able to do it without a stronger person’s help, which got them an extra star. I’ll update the review if there is some benefit forthcoming that outweighs the difficulty in installation. Also the manual was wild- appears to have been loosely translated into English. Read more

We have three children, two cars, and six Diono Radians because they are awesome for fitting three kids across the back seat if you don't want to upgrade to a larger vehicle and bigger car payment.We drive a Subaru Forester and a Kia Niro and have a 5 year old, a 3 year old, and an 8 month old. These seats are perfect for all the kids though we did have to wait for the baby to get a bit chubbier to fit in his (it seems like he was about 3 months old when he was big enough to fit properly). We got seat organizers for the back of the driver's seat for sunglasses and kids toys. Since there are no cup or snack holders the back of the car is so much cleaner with these seats too! All three of the kids can nap just fine in these for family road trips. Read more

If you are looking to rear facing seat this is not the seat for you! I have spent weeks researching the best carseats to keep my 3 year old (40lbs) rearfacing and went with this one. It is SO reclied that unless you have a van you cannot use it because of how close it pushed the front seats forward in order to fit. I have an explorer and it was impossible. However, it is a nice seat and not bulky like others. It is unfortunately not feasible for extended rear facing users like advertised though. Read more

Absolute favorite car seat we’ve ever bought for our kids! We recently had our third baby so I had to buy new seats for my 4 and 2 year old in order to fit three across. We have a 2015 Chevy equinox and the seats fit perfectly (currently have 2 of these Dionos and a Graco snuglock 35 for the newborn) and we’ll be purchasing a third Diono when she outgrows her infant seat. The seats are incredibly sturdy! They feel so much safer than the plastic seats I’ve purchased in the past, the material is soft and high quality, and my girls both say that they’re very comfortable.They are extremely heavy so not easy to install/reinstall on a regular basis but I don’t mind too much, because of how sturdy they are. However I am not looking forward to traveling on a plane with them. Read more

Installed this rear-facing into my F-150 last night.The instruction manual IS there and it’s located inside the carseat at the back in the upper left side, there is a small symbol showing a book on the seat cover and if you unbutton the cover you can access it easily and pull it out (see my photos).I used the UAS strap to secure it but it definitely was not tight enough, seems to be common in my truck. But once I also attached the tether by following the instructions and looping it around the seat in fronts track, it appears to be tight enough now. I am going to double check it and if needed add the seatbelt as well. This is only the third car seat I’ve ever installed before so I’m not a complete expert.My daughter hasn’t used it yet but I will update my review once we use it for a while. I bought this particular car seat because it looks simple and it doesn’t block her view much and it feels very comfortable just from me pressing on it. And it is supposedly good for extended rear-facing. It is also a nice looking car seat from a reputable brand. Read more

Got the chair because it says it is steel core made; even the image where this is mentioned shows a grey (like steel) core but it is not true, all is plastic just like any other chairs. The chair design in fact is not bad at all, the material that covers the core of the chair is good, but this chair is being promoted with misleading information. Read more

It looks like a great seat, very solid and heavy duty. Unfortunately it doesn’t have any recline adjustment and the back is very long. Because of this, it will only fit rear facing in very large SUVs or minivans. I have a smaller SUV and I had to put the front seat so far forward that it cant be used. It is narrow though so you could get more than one side by side if legroom is plentiful. It should be fine in smaller cars in the front facing position, but you can forget about putting it rear facing. Another gripe I have is that they hide the instruction manual in a pouch under the cover. Of course I found it after I thought it was missing and printed out the PDF version online. The manual tells you where to find the hidden manual - yeah. That’s why there are a bunch of reviews here saying the manual was missing. It looks like a great quality seat, but I had to return it as our child has to sit rear facing. Be sure to do your research and measurements before buying. Read more

The car seat just arrived and is totally useless to us at the moment because it doesn’t include any instructions for installation. It’s been a nightmare trying to contact Diono to resolve this. The box clearly indicates that it should include a set of instructions, yet does not. Unimpressed that a car seat can even be sold without instructions and safety information, but the major frustration prompting this negative review is our poor customer service experience in trying to resolve the issue. Les trous pour le harnais 5 points sont très espaces. Soit les sangles arrivent en bas des épaules soit beaucoup plus haut que les épaules.S’il n’est pas dans une voiture, il ne tient pas debout. Le dossier est trop lourd donc il tombe a la renverse. Attention aux enfants et a vos orteils.Ps: pour ceux qui ne trouve pas le manuel d’instruction, il est caché derrière le siège.
