I just bought the black container after finishing the clear one and I can clearly see the difference in product quality. The product in the clear container has a offputting musty smell, is very hard to apply (not at all creamy), and had granulated/coarse texture. In contrast, the black container has a much creamier and smooth texture and a mild but cologne-like aroma. I suspect the clear container I bought was either a knock-off or very poorly manufactured so beware.The only positive about the clear container is that the hold was the strongest of all products I’ve used but I would give it 1-2 stars in all other categories including scent, texture, and applicability. Leaves hair dry and wirey. No shine and no pliability. Not at all as I expected. Also waited a month for it to be delivered. After a $250+ trial of products, I’m back to the first one that I tried to get away from the expensive shu uemura products, O’Douds multi-purpose pomade. If you’re looking for a nice waxy hold, pliability, and a decent amount of shine that lasts all day, O’Douds is the way to go. I saw many comments on the fragrance and I must concur, it is very strong and does not dissipate. Your clothing will still smell like this product at the end of the day and it’s a very “cologne” like smell. This is the only styling cream that is used in our house where we have 3 very style conscious guys living under one roof!. I love that this product is pliable so that working it into a style is very easy. You HAVE to "warm" the product up in your hands before applying it to your hair else you will get white goo in your hair that resembles dandruff once dry, not a good look. Once you have manipulated the product in your hand the warmth of your hands allows the product to become more malleable and it takes on a clear color that disappears in your hair upon application. It wears well during the course of the day, doesn't flake or dry white (only if applied correctly) and you can wet the hair a bit to restyle if need be. Bought this for my 4 year old's hair. He has super thick hair and this stuff is not my favorite. Its very tacky and sticky and even after rubbing it on my hands for a min to "warm it up" it still leaves strings and "glops" in my son's hair. It also does not hold very well...I guess because my son's hair is pretty heavy but even after a fresh haircut, his hair has fallen down after an hour or two. I do like that it washes out fairly well just by wetting the hair (in case we aren't doing a full shampoo one night) and the brushing it out. Read more

The product is good, the smell is just fine, especially compared to other hair products I have used in the past. I like this product because you can style your hair without they gel look that seems to clump all the hair together giving one the look of having less hair than he really does. The description can be slightly misleading since they sell a 3 pack for $16.99, you would think the $11.99 would get you a two pack, it does not. This still isn't a bad deal because I have seen this stuff in the stores for $25 a container. Just do yourselves a favor and spend the extra $5 and get the three pack and it will last you a long time. Read more

I've been using this product for 10 years or more and I love it. However, I've known that sometimes there are bad batches that are soft and mealy, not dense and creamy like hard cream. They are found at stores or online. But, as we know, the problem is that when purchasing online, we can't tell. I've just had a bad one twice in a row from Amazon, and this time it really doesn't work well at all. Just last month I had to buy one at a store because the Amazon sellers didn't offer Prime. The store only had 2.6 oz package and for $12. I wasn't happy to pay double but it felt completely different and reminded me how great this product can be. And, it lasted a long time too because it was so dense.Maybe the quality control has been poorly managed, but I'm switching back to buying in store again. I love the product, the price was right, and the scent is fabulous! The fragrance might seem a little more masculine since it’s not flowery, but I really like it. The hold is extreme, and it will work best on my hair right after a haircut when it’s very short. It’s just a little too stiff and tacky for the length mine is when it’s a couple weeks grown out. Ich habe im Laufe der Jahre viele Haarstylingprodukte durchprobiert von Wachs über Schaum, Gels, Sprays, "Kleber",... Aber ich hatte noch nie ein Produkt, das ich wieder kaufte nachdem ich es ausprobiert hatte, weil mich keins bis jetzt wirklich zufrieden stellen konnte. Bis mir dann mal mein Frisör D:FI empfohlen und mir ein paar Gramm zum Testen mitgegeben hat und siehe da: nun hab ich mein Produkt gefunden. Es riecht recht angenehm, fettet nicht, lässt die Haare nicht "wet" wirken, gibt ihnen Volumen und Struktur, lässt sich leicht herauswaschen, die Frisur lässt sich später leicht mit ein paar Handgriffen auffrischen (ohne zusätzliches Wachs) und vor allem ist es wahnsinnig ergiebig. Ich brauche wirklich nur eine Fingerspitze davon für meine Frisur (Undercut mit mittellangen Haaren), was dann auch den doch recht hohen Preis relativiert. Das einzig Negative ist, wie sich die Haare anfühlen, wenn das D:FI drin ist. Sie fühlen sich dann nicht mehr seidig weich an, sondern irgendwie trocken und etwas klebrig (es bleibt aber nicht an den Händen kleben). Das wichtigste ist aber meiner Meinung nach die Optik und die stimmt auf alle Fälle. Wenn ich irgendwann mal diese Dose aufgebraucht haben sollte, werde ich auf jeden Fall wieder eine neue kaufen. 5 Sterne! Read more

Ich benutze dieses Produkt seit ca. 2 Jahren, das 1. und 2. Mal habe ich das Produkt bei meiner Frisörin gekauft gehabt (allerdings zu einem höheren Preis, von ca. 20€) -> habe dann nach einem günstigeren Preis gesucht gehabt und hier für 8-10€ schon mehrmals bestellt. Ich finde den "Geruch" sehr angenehm und gut, gefällt mir. Die Konsistenz ist mega gut und angenehm und lässt sich sehr gut ins Haar verteilen und einmassieren. Hält gut und sieht "natürlich" aus. Es kommt mir kein andere Produkt mehr ins Haus :) .... außer das Styling Produkt von Marc Eggers (Thats ME) überzeugt mich auch so gut (gerade am testen!) Read more
