I asked several questions and did not get good answers until I bought it and used it. I have shoulder length hair and have a lot of thinning and pretty much bald spots on top due to medication. For years I have used Toppik powder, CRC and then Couvre to cover which work well for me but as you know Couvre has been discontinued. So I purchased DermMatch. The sponge brushes are a good size and work well. I dried my hair and then dipped the brush to wet it and swirled it in the DM which is dry like a compact. This makes a creamy solution which I then brushed and dabbed on my spots moving across my head occasionally rubbing in with my finger to spread slightly. I like that it doesn't feel sticky like Couvre which does seem to weigh my hair down some. The DM covers well. I think I will need some Toppik but maybe not as much because you know it makes a mess. I have experience hair loss over 10 years ago and have been wearing wigs ever since. Wigs have become a part of my everyday untl I discovered a way to style my natural hair and be confident showing it again. At only 36 years of age this was very important because I''ve been concelling since the age of 26. I found two product that changed my whole perspective on my hair. One of them is called Cabooki. The other is this product here which is a waterproof concealer. Cabooki mimics your hair follicle, creating a more fuller, thick appearance. The down side to this is it is not waterproof and on a really hot day it you sweat a great, It could be a problem. Then I found the DermMatch which allowed me to not worry about sweating or rain as I did with my Cabooki. While the concealer does not mimic hair follicles, it definitely conceals. Be sure when you apply the DermMatch concealer, keep an eye on how much you are building or applying. You do not want to apply to the point where you it looks obvious. As a young woman with thinning hair, I have tried a number of products to disguise this embarrassing problem. This product is the best one so far. I've been using it about a week. It's easy to use and it really does stay put until washed off with shampoo, which is good since I only wash my hair every other day to minimize damage from drying and styling it. I was using a combination of Madison Reed Root Touch Up and Toppik, but both are messy and expensive, and they needed a lot of touch up on the second day. This one product replaces both of them, and it doesn't make a mess on the counter or on my pillow. I don't have to worry about powder coming off at the doctor or on the massage table or the dentist, which has been embarrassing in the past. I don't have to worry about it getting smudged or blown off in a big wind and leaving spots showing thorugh. It's easy to create a natural look at my hair line. DermMatch is truly a game changer, and it's very affordable given the size of the container and how long it should last. The Madison Reed product cost $30 for about 1/4 of the product, so that makes the cost of DermMatch seem very affordable. And I can stop using Toppik, which is very expensive. So I'm saving money and getting far better results with much less mess. I couldn't be happier. I have no idea what is going on, this product cause me some redness and itchiness on my scalp, I’m not sure if I’m allergic to some of their Ingredients. They have a statement if you feel itchy stop using it, chemicals Be aware!!! Bad Side effect!!!They hide the ingredients under the label and this is wrong. Btw, Here is what I have found in google that cause it:Ingredients - Stearalkonium Chloride: This chemical was designed as a fabric softener by the fabric industry. What this product is good for: obscuring the scalp under hair that is not thick enough to provide full coverage. What is is not good for: creating the illusion of hair where there is little to none. Unlike hair building fibers, this has no depth or texture. Without enough hair to conceal it, it literally looks like the scalp has been painted. The product does hold up very well when wet (rain, swimming), unlike the hair building fibers.A combination of this concealer and hair building fibers works really well. Read more

My hair is at a weird length while I grow it out. I used Toppik hairspray for a while, but that stuff goes everywhere, and people can’t touch your head without getting caked with powder. This stuff is the best for sure, I mean the picture says it all. Read more

This does a great job covering thinning areas. I would have given it 5 stars but in the last few years the quality has decreased significantly. This used to last a year or so of everyday use, didn't rub off and the tint lasted from the first to the last use, but now, it just doesn't do as well as before.
