I don't have psoriasis just really bad flaking at times . Seasonal changes, stress, a new shampoo always seem to trigger the flakes. H&S doesn't work. TSal, no. TGel, no. T tree formulations, no. Selsun Blue, yes, but it just feels harsh. This is the one for me. I have this on standby. Once a week, at times 2, keeps the flakes at bay. I use this on the scalp, massage, and leave on while I soap and lather. Before I wash it off, I put conditioner (currentlly Aussie moist) to my hair (not the scalp), and my hair is is very soft. If used alone, I can see it drying up people with color treated or just dry hair. However I have straight, oily hair so it leaves my hair "neutral"-- not amazing, not awful... just basic. First off, it has no smell. I was afraid of what it would smell like but it doesn't smell like anything. I have really bad psoriasis on my scalp. My shoulders look like a light dusting of snow every day. I have the topical solution from my derm. & that works great but I don't use it every day. So I wanted to try a shampoo that would help. I've used this 3 times so far & can see a reduction in flakes. My hair looks brighter too.Update: I'm disappointed but it stopped working. I think it might have made it worse. I suffer from scalp psoriasis which is flared when I have high anxiety or stress. As far as non prescriptions go, this is the only shampoo I can find that won't intensify the itching. Coal Tar or any Anti-Dandruff shampoo seems to feed it. Read more

This stuff works so well that when I went to my dermatologist for my scalp psoriasis she said to keep using it along with the prescription strength shampoo she gave me. I have seborrheic dermatitis and this really helps keep it in control. Since it's not much fun using unscented shampoo, I add a few drops of lavender essential oil to leave a pleasant scent behind. This is the only shampoo I have used in years. I have long hair. I use conditioner in addition to this shampoo, even though it says it is a two-in-one, I need more conditioning than it gives. This shampoo is the only over the counter shampoo that really seems to help my husband's scalp. The day after washing it seems to have loosened the flakey spots and more shedding happens that day.
