I could not be more pleased . I am caring for a friend who suffers from overflow incontinence due to a neurological disorder . He had been using Teena medium absorbency pads ( which are great for the day by the way ) . He tried pull ups for sleeping as well as the Teena's and there was always leakage which meant a wipe down with wet wipes , change of underwear and change of bed pads . In the evenings it was a constant battle to keep clean and keep dry . Always creating lots of laundry and lots of trash going through many disposable bed pads as well as leaking onto waterproof mats . These are a god send . They do not leak ! They have gathered edges that keep all the liquid in place . I could not be more happy to of found these and that they work so well . Saving us all from uncomfortable messes and being more disturbed in the night . Now it's just a trip to the bathroom and the changing of a pad , even his underwear was still dry ! So happy this product exists , I can't recommend enough . Read more

If you are caring for someone who has incontinence issues, or if you are a man dealing with this, these guards are a big help. With my Dad, who is constantly cold and wears several layers of clothing, to change him through out the day, can be very time consuming. He wears his regular trousers or jeans but also long johns, all year long. Before I discovered the inserts, I had to get Dad completely undressed from waist down just to change a wet Depends.(Because there are no decent day time diapers with tabs, so they have to be pulled on from the feet up, not placed on like a child's diaper with tabs on the side.)Now when Dad has only been wearing the Depends a couple of hours but I want him to feel dry, you just swop in a new insert for the old and he is all set, nice and dry in a few seconds, with out completely un dressing. Hey, it happens. I don't like to think of myself as "incontinent"--I don't pee my pants--but the day came when I had to concede that I "dribble" after urinating. Feeling like I had just checked myself into an old-folks home, I sent off for these things. The ad warns that they should not be used with boxer shorts underwear (they have an adhesive strip on the front that sticks to tighter underwear like briefs or boxer briefs. With boxers, movement of the underwear readjusts the pad. I'm in bed most of the day and in a wheelchair when not, so I thought I'd give them a try--I just don't peel of the strip over the adhesive. These pads do catch and soak up the dribbles, and I don't have trouble with them under my boxer shorts. If it slips aside, I just put it back. But one day in the wheelchair, waiting for an appointment in an office, I suddenly had to go. And I realized I would not make it to a rest room (I can't stand up) or back home in time. I was in a jam. I moved to a shadowy area, reached down and clamped my hands around the pad, and released the pent-up flow (knowing I was about to pee my pants and praying it didn't start dripping from the wheelchair). I was amazed. That little pad did swell up a bit and became very warm, but it absorbed every drop! After waiting a few minutes, I looked down. Nothing! Everything was dry! Only the pad was heavy and swollen--not even wet on the surface. I tossed it in a nearby wastebasket and went on my way to the appointment! I would not have believed it. Now when I go anywhere in the car, I have one where it's supposed to be and another in my pocket. Read more

I have used these for several years and have always been satisfied. But the guards in the most recent shipment from amazon have a very strong chemical smell. The package is new and says they are improved. But the chemical smell belies that. They smell and so are not usable. They need to go back to the previous iteration.Perhaps I should have included the entire story in my initial comment. At the end of January I purchased a package of Depend Guards from Walmart. I noticed that the packaging had new lettering that said "now more flexible" but I did not think anything about it. When I opened the package, however, there was a very strong chemical smell. I returned the package to Walmart for a refund. At the first of February my subscription from amazon arrived. They had the old style packaging and were fine, no chemical smell. At the first of March my subscription from Amazon arrived. They had the new style packaging and had a strong chemical smell. These are the subject of my comments. here. Because the same problem has been evident from two different sources, Walmart and Amazon, and were two months apart, January and March, I do not think it is an isolated incident.I will return the current shipment to Amazon for replacement. We will see what happens with the replacement. March 13. I have received the replacements from Amazon and they have the same problem as I described above. They have a strong chemical smell. This now makes 3 in a row with the same problem. As Kimberly-Clark requested, I called them. They kept saying it was an isolated problem. I do not believe that. They have a quality control problem with their new/improved product that they need to fix. I am thankful to Amazon for doing the right thing here for their customer, me. I would be nice if Kimberly -Clark would do the same thing. Read more

My husband has incontinence issues due to prostate and urinary surgery. Incontinence, I think, can be even more difficult for men, going by his experience. I won't say "he loves" these pads, who would? But he feels they suit him the best. And this is a permanent issue. There is no odor either. He says they feel more comfortable and secure for him. Not comparable to Depends brand store bought max absorbency pads. These are cheaper per pkg but not cheaper per pad because they are about 1/2 to 2/3 the thickness resulting in less than half the absorbency of the usual store bought Depends maximum pads. I can get by with one pad per day of the usual pads, but have to use 2 or 3 per day of these thin pads. I will ask for refund. Read more

For the price and quantity this is such a great purchase as I'm using them for my 5yo son during nightime potty training. The goodnites pads for older kids who don't want to wear a full diaper is 3 times the costs for the exact same product. Definitely go with these if you're stuck choosing between the two. Still a bit of a leak if he's had too much liquids before bed, but the amount of laundry I've saved on since getting it is so worth it! Read more
