I use the SECURE Denture Adhesive Sensitive and it works well with my situation. It's not that my dentures are ill-fitting necessarily, it's more that I don't have enough bone for my bottom dentures to hold on to securely. I apply the suggested amount but spread it around to thinly coat the entire inside of the plate and it holds tighter and longer than any other brand I have tried. While most of the adhesive loosens from soaking in water overnight and is easily removed, there is often some left in the tiny crevices that requires a bit of scrubbing when cleaning... I am still so new to dentures that am scared to scrub much, even with a soft brush. And there's an area on my bottom denture that is too narrow for the bristles to reach, thus sometimes leaving a little residue after cleaning, even with a higher priced denture cleaner. I was really, truly impressed with how clean the Secure cleaner cleaned my dentures. Every bit of any residual adhesive was gone and they looked as good as the day I got them. Many times when I use a very thin layer of Secure denture adhesive I can remove it with my thumb nail and don't need these mega-power tablets. Regular brand or store brand denture cleaner tablets work at those times. But when I do need super cleaning power, my partial plate comes out brighter and shinier than when the dentist puts it in her sonic cleaner! Read more

When using Secure adhesive, I find that having the Secure Cleansing Tablets are a must to help get the denture completely free of the adhesive. This product is a bit pricier than the common brands (which do not clean as well) so I always look for a good price on Amazon. Read more

I can't say that these tablets are any more effective than other brands I have used. The Secure denture adhesive is difficult to remove. What I did discover, in an episode of neglect, was that if you leave your dentures in a bowl of plain water overnight, the adhesive rinses off completely with no cleansing tablets necessary. There is probably some benefit to using the cleansing tablets, but for removing the adhesive, none is necessary...plain water will do the trick. Read more
