I have been using this product for years. I was diagnosed with Psoriasis when I was 20 and with many failed attempts and how to fix the Psoriasis on my scalp and behind my ears, my dermatologist recommended this product. It works wonders! I am so happy with the results I get from using it. I also love the tingle it gives you. Makes you feel like its really working. On a side note, this product also works great if you have high levels of calcium and you can't find a product to remove it from your shower door. Its kind of expensive to use it for that, but boy does it work. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that has any sort of skin disorder. Every now and then my dandruff flares up really bad. With one or two uses of this bad boy my scalp is flake free! While others may not like its strength, I've laways appreciated the tingling sensation - Lets me know it's works. On top of that, it works well on the overall appearance of my hair. It may be a Shampoo/Conditioner combo, but I always apply a little bit of conditioner to my ends -not the scalp- just to add a little extra smoothness to my hair.For my personal situation, I use it every other day, or once every three days, alternating with a regular shampoo. I have bad scalp psoriasis and dandruff- you have to use this religiously. I feel like it’s semi working but not fully- you have to scratch so hard as you can see there’s still some. I think it does work but again, if you go too long without it. It’s gonna come right back and don’t get you’re hopes up like I did. This shampoo works amazingly well - it always clears up the flaking on my scalp from psoriasis and makes the itching stop for close to a week+. I've tried almost every dandruff shampoo you could think of and none of them did the trick like this one (notable examples are Head and Shoulders, or those terrible tea tree oil ones).My only complaint is that the smell is VERY strong and it bothers me a little, but not enough to give this a lower rating or stop using it. I had the worst dandruff. I would seriously wake up in the middle of the night and scratch my head until it was about bleeding. For some reason, it is difficult to find shampoo with salicylic acid in retail stores but it's what my dermatologist recommends and so it's good that I can find it here for a reasonable price. I do find that it is effective on my dandruff and, for that alone, it gets 5 stars. If I were to complain, I would say that whichever chemical they use to give the tingling sensation is a little stinging on the eyes even when it's well rinsed off before I open them.
