It gives such a great texture and thickness to my hair, and it has an amazing hold that I can style and restyle my hair in any way I want. Add some hair wax and you can do any hairstyle you like!SMELL:I also have "Taper Godz Volumizer Powder" that I use, which is just as great as this, but I have to give extra credit to Dapper Dan's because of the absolutely, fantastic scent! It is hard to describe with words how good it smells. Something like Tropical Island freshness combined with Fresh Water Spring and the freshness when you get out of the shower! gave this a try after using another brand named after a stylish wild animal for a good while. This texture dust is on another level. It smells great (don't try to smell it out of the bottle though!) And doesn't turn greasy. It has genuine all day hold and offers a true matt textured look. Washout is a little difficult and will require shampoo to remove completely, but its a fair tradeoff given the extremely strong hold. The packaging is appealing and distribution into the hair is much better based on others. If you are in the market for a texture powder, just get this one, it really is fantastic. I have fine straight hair which is starting to thin on top, I have tried other powders but this one works best for me and really gives my hair more body.I don't go overboard with it, a light sprinkle and then work it through my hair a few times until it looks thicker and then I use a small dab of texturising clay to finish.I've been repeat buying this Dapper Dan for over a year, it's great stuff. Heard about this in a barber shop when discussing the Dapper Dan Ultra Matte Clay. Thought they were both gimmicks based on the O Brother Where Art Thou movie, but seriously both products are awesome. This powder is great if you need an easy solution with slightly lighter hold than the clay or of you want to “top up” after using the clay. Awesome super dry look and feel, well worth the money: better than the cheaper powders in the supermarkets. Note: it’s a small bottle, with a small amount of powder. But it goes a long way. Thought I’d try this as an alternative hair styling product to my normal putty. It’s just a daft product and I’ve no idea how others are using it regularly! Firstly there’s such a small amount of product in the bottle - but the main issue is because it’s basically dust or powder - as soon as you try to close your hands and rub it between them it just puffs everywhere or falls into the sink. The product that does make it to my hair does a good job and is remouldable to a degree (and not sticky) so it works well when I’m using my motorcycle helmet - and I also just need a quick rinse to remove any product from my hands afterwards. But, if I used it regularly it wouldn’t last a few weeks and most of it would end up down the drain! Not a product I’ll be buying again. Read more
