I follow a lot of curly YouTube videos, so I wanted to try this and see what the hype was all about, I really wanted to like this product, its not terrible, is just that for the price it doesn't really do much, it gives you define curls but I still got a lot of frizz and there's no way I can go on a second day hair with this product, it claims that you can never over do it but you can definitely under do it and being a water based product is hard to tell If I already applied enough because all I feel is wet cold hair, and I have long thick 3a curly hair so it feels like I need to apply a lot, so I doubt this tiny bottle would last me more than a week if I were to use it every day, I'm more of a smoothie, cream, leave in conditioner girl, and to be honest I get way better results with products like Cantu, shea moisture and Maui moisture, they're cheaper, curly girl friendly and you get way more for your buck, I'll continue to use this until I finish it since I paid 17 dollars for this tiny bottle, but honestly I wouldn't repurchase or even recommend this to anybody Read more

As part of the curly girl community I see so much praise or this product and others who can't get it to work.. It is tricky but im going to teach u how! This product is impossible to go heavy handed with. My 2a/2b/2c hair is a couple inches past my shoulders. I applied 3 PALM fulls. Probably could've used another. I got a good cast, lightweight, good definition. This product acts as a mousse would. It holds like it has protein but doesn't. This is a great 1 and done styler. No gel needed. Read more

Okay, as a girl with curly hair who had no idea and no knowledge on how to take care of curly hair - I HATED MY HAIR FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE. I would chop it super-short or straighten it - or just hope nobody noticed I had curly hair as I hid it in a pony-tail. Finally, thanks in no small part to Lorainne Massey's book Curly Girl and a huge amount of leave-in conditioner, I learned how to take care of my curls and they looked... pretty good. Not great, but not embarrassing and I could at least "live with them."A couple of months ago I decided to give Curl Keeper a try (while rolling my eyes, not really believing there was a singular amazing product for curly hair...but still secretly hoping deep down inside...). From day one I started getting more compliments on my curls from my boyfriend and other people. I may always wish I had been born with straight hair, but with Curl Keeper I do feel like my hair can be beautiful most days. It really is a great product and I have great second and third-day curls with it (just apply some water to your hair to refresh). I have been using a generic product that is similar to the Silk product as the first thing that I put on after showering, then I add a curl cream. I saw an article that referenced this product and decided to give it a try in place of the Silk. I wasn’t sure if I would like it or not because this product is very watery. But surprisingly it does great on my hair. I have curly gray hair. I wouldn’t say it does any better for me than the Silk product, but about the same. The con is that it comes at a higher price. I've heard a lot about this product so I thought I'd try this small 3.4 oz size. WOW. Smooths out my hair and has pretty good hold. Easy to use and not sticky. It does form a cast but you just break that up with your hands if you want. This stuffs consistency (thin and runny) reminds me of Paul Mitchell's Sculpting Lotion, except this Curl Keeper is even better for your hair because it does NOT have any harmful silicone, sulfates, alcohols or waxes. I started using this product several years ago and loved it. And then I started getting ads on my Facebook for another popular curly hair product (rhymes with "us") that promised practically perfect results and I thought I'd switch over and give it a go. I had to experiment to find the product and routine that worked for me, and well, I never could quite get the results that the ads and videos were telling me I'd get. I still had frizz and my curls were not holding all day at all. Today I found out I had a tiny bit of Curl Keeper left in a bottle under the sink and I worked it into my hair and let it air dry. I'd forgotten what wonderful results I get with this product. Why did I ever switch?! I'm coming back to Curl Keeper to stay. My curls are frizz free and defined again and I'm looking forward to waking up tomorrow and scrunching in a bit of water to reactivate them...something I was not able to do with the other product. This product is amazing. I have super frizzy hair. I love how gel makes my hair look but I hate how it makes it feel. This gives me good curl definition and frizz control. It’s basically a watered down gel. You get the benefit of a gel with the softness of a styling cream. Obsessed with this product!! Read more

I really like this product. I have 3b thick hair. I like the application. I shampoo and condition, then put in my leave-in conditioner, then I apply the gel, brush through with my wet brush and then scrunch. The results are amazing for me. Not drying, It is shiny and soft to the touch after I break the cast once it’s completely dried. I am a fan. Read more
