I LOVE these THICK, 1-ply square pads because these are easier to swab skin clean, before and after administering a shot. They feel like felt, or a pressed cotton ball. Cushy! But note that CURAD makes 2 types of Alcohol Prep Pads, and CURAD's other pad is a thinner, folded, 2-ply sheet that opens out to a rectangle. Purchased this for general electronics and glasses purposes (not as a prep pad) - this one really delivered!It sounds silly, but these pads are MUCH better than any of the others I've tried in the past. The biggest issue with most are that they're very thin and very lightly coated with alcohol. These ones are extra thick and very saturated with cleaning alcohol which makes them go much further (not too noticeable for cleaning your glasses, but anything bigger will be immediately noticeable).Most prep pads "fold out" into a rectangle, this one is a square that does not fold out (it's just extra thick).Highly recommended since they're the same price.For people who plan to use these as hand-wipes, they might actually work since they have so much cleaning alcohol on them (whereas the smaller/folded ones don't) Read more

I am happy with my purchase. The pads I received are exactly 1 1/8 In X 1 3/8 Inches. I mention that because I have read reviews from others with different dimensions. They are great prep pad for diabetic pens and can be used as an antiseptic, removing oils from your face, etc.. These are NOT 2-ply pads. I'm not a fan of the two ply because in my experience they tend to dry out quickly. These pads have a good amount of alcohol on them so that is is not an issue.. As a diabetic, I have been trying to find the best brand for my needs. I was using the 2-ply Curad prep pads and they were good, plenty of saturation. But I found it difficult to use because I have lost some feeling in my fingertips and struggle with arthritis and had a lot of difficulty hanging on to them and would ultimately drop them before I could finish the job at hand. When it came time to order more, I was pleased to discover that Curad also manufactures a single-ply THICK pad. I read some good reviews and I read some poor reviews, but took a chance and ordered them. These pads arrived on time (Jan. 3, 2022) and they were well packaged (each set of four were bundled together by cellophane wrapping) and they were undamaged like some other reviewers stated. These THICK pads are nice and thick, and sufficiently saturated with alcohol, and I had experienced more ease in using them. I am glad I ordered them, and highly recommend. There alcohol swabs - didn't expect too much but my wife who uses them daily is complaining that out of the first ten she opened 3 were dried up. Not a good track record so far. We see how the rest go and probably order a different brand next time. Read more

Should have read the reviews (not that one would ever think that’s necessary for a staple like this). Usually get them in single boxes from Target, but they’ve been sold out consistently so I figured I’d just buy in bulk since they’re so small. Description says it’s the 2-ply version (thin gauze folded in half), and picture indicates this as well. I find this style to be most versatile for my needs. Small but yet they get the job done COMPARED to others of small MEDIUM size. Probably because they are thicker than others that I had bought.Great for finger pricking for glucose testing. If I had my druthers yes it would be nice if they were a little larger say 3.0 inches instead of 2.3 inches but they are THICKER and hold a lot of alcohol. That is they do not disintegrate like others into a spit ball when being used.Bottom Line is this:The size is marked as medium which is actually a little on the small size but they are THICKER than other brands also marked medium. So if you have made your mind up to get the prep pad “medium” size, then this is the one to get.
