It is great for eyelashes, however, I use it for my eyebrows. It creates the fullness one lacks at age 54. I already have long lashes, and find that the orange one is overly dramatic, and the yellow one makes me look like I have spider legs on my eyes because it makes them so long. So if you have short lashes, go for the yellow. This is my go to mascara and itll never change. I've tried others since and still havent found any to beat it. The applicator works wonderfully to bust clumps and evenly coat my lashes. It adds volume, a little curl (though I naturally have longer curled lashes being a redhead I need mascara for them to be seen lol), and doesnt make the lashes stick together like other brands I've tried. It removes easily but is water resistant enough to stay in place and not smudge if you get teary or have a little itch. My only complaint is, being a redhead, I have to really cover every inch of my lashes to get the full effect, and inevitably end up getting some on my eyelids. This is only partly because of the brush design and mostly because of me. But I wouldn't change it, other brushes cause clumps and spider leg look to my lashes. I usually get my mascara from Sephora, and prior to that always trusted L’Oréal for thick long lash effect. But I was looking for something more natural so purchased this clump blaster by Cover Girl in brown. I don’t think I’ve ever used this brand before. Based on all the great reviews, I gave it a shot. When I first applied the mascara, I notice not a lot of product was on the wand. I normally have to blot mascara on a tissue before applying. The mascara also seemed dry. I had to dip a few times and touch up my lashes a couple times to get all of them. The end result was really natural pretty lashes. However, I did noticed some irritation (like chemical vapors) and that some of product ended up flaking under my eyes after a few hours in an office setting. Worst was the next day or two days later I noticed my right eye was itchy and had a tiny white bump on it. I spent the day cleaning my eye with witch hazel, and applying a wet wash cloth to it. I NEVER had a reaction like this to any mascara before. The bump was gone and eye was better in less than 48 hours. Two weeks later, I tested the mascara again, thinking maybe the whole eye issue was a fluke? Next day the same thing happen! Another bump and irritation in my eye. So while the product does look natural on, it’s not very long lasting and the ones sold on Amazon are clearly contaminated or expired. Read more

As an aging, fading, but true blonde, I need BROWN mascara--brown/black or black looks much too severe. I am lucky, still have long lashes and I don't need to use the eyelash curler with this mascara, it works so beautifully. I do not do more than one layer but do add more to the corners as someone recommended. It doesn't clump for me with just the one layer. I didn't have as good of luck when I did try to add further layers. I do not apply a second coat later in the day. Perhaps if I was still working or dating I would but since retirement I do things more minimally. GET the washable mascara if you want to wash it off in a JIFF! I have strawberry blonde hair and medium light complexion, and long but very light eyelashes that disappear. I didn't wear mascara for years because most of them are so black that they make me look like there are spiders on my eyes. Most brown mascaras are so black there's really no difference between brown and black. But this mascara in brown is actually brown. Quickly became my go to mascara a few years ago when I first tried it. I tried so many and always hated the way they looked. I use the brown for work or everyday makeup, when I'm just wearing natural, low key makeup. I have not tried any of the darker colors; I'll use a different brand when I'm going for more dramatic eye makeup, like for night events.All in all, this mascara is just good for everyday makeup. It lengthens my lashes without looking like too much. It gives them just the right amount of color. I have light brown hair and tiny eyes, so anything black looks like I'm wearing too much during the day.My favorite thing about the mascara is probably the applicator; it really does help get rid of clumps. I'm not the best at applying makeup, and without mascara, I have the most uncurly lashes ever! Comes off easily with makeup remover. Easy to put on. Gives you long separate lashes. It doesn't do a whole lot of thickening but it also doesn't clump unless you go over your lashes with it more than 3 times or wait a long time between coats. It’s true to it’s name: Clump Crusher. It has no clumps - I really hate how my other mascaras have so many clumps. It’s not very lengthening but I didn’t really want it to be and it’s not really thick which I also didn’t want it to be. It’s subtle, but not too subtle.
