You know I didn't think that these would really make that much of an upgrade in my life, but the reviews were so good I thought I would take the chance. We use these for painting, cleaning the dogs ears, and cleaning our own ears. (Of which I generate a lot of earwax.)These are amazing. They are superior in every way. The cotton sticks together and gives superior support to all cotton swab activities. My ears are cleaner and because of that I use the swabs less often. There's less gunk build up on my earbuds. I wish i could like those swabs, they are soft and sturdy and good price, but i am giving this review, because of the packaging of each 100. The idea of this product to start using wooden so we can get away from plastic ones, but each 100 of swabs was in a plastic bag and put in another plastic bag. Total of 13 bags. As many of us know, when Qtips stopped selling the wooden stick Qtips in retail environments, it has been a long, long road to find a suitable replacement. I tried the Royal brand wooden stick cotton swabs but they snapped very easily. If Qtips were using some sort of hardwood (maple?) for their swabs, Royal seemed to be using a softwood like pine or some other crappy wood. They often broke on a fairly regular basis.As any guy who loves wooden-sticked cotton swabs, we need sturdy wooden sticks because, well, it feels fricken awesome. While I may eventually have one that breaks, these have already surpassed the original Qtip brand, and really really really surpassed the Royal brand.The price point is perfect and I haven't had one break yet (but I have only used on 40 so far). While I expect that some will fail at some point, I am 100% satisfied with this purchase ... so much so that I ordered 16 years worth (just in case there is a zombie apocalypse).So if you want something sturdy these are definitely the way to go. If you want to know about how well the cotton holds together or if it is fluffy enough, you will have to go read a review that gives a crap about fluffiness. I have no complaints at all. Zero. I wish all of my amazon purchases worked out this well.Update: Well, it has been several months and I am still extremely happy with my purchase. While I have had some break, the breaks were clean and not some long jagged splinter like you will get with many other brands. The cotton swabs themselves function well. The cotton is nice and dense and stays attached to the stick, which is always a plus. My only complaint is that I purchased them as an eco-friendly alternative to regular cotton swabs, but each 100 or so is packaged in a plastic bag, and then the whole lot is in a larger bag. I agree with other reviewers that it is kind of pointless the company is wasting so much plastic packaging, I am trying to save the planet over here and it’s almost pointless if they’re going to waste so much plastic wrapping. Especially there is no reason why they need to separate quantities These Q-tips are okay. The heads of cotton have minimal cotton on them. There is no real proof that this is organic cotton; although there was a slight smell that could have been an indication that it was organic cotton (I have purchased raw cotton in the past before from Amazon and it does have a certain smell to it.) I’m not sure if I’ll be buying these again. I think I won’t because of the minimal cotton on the head. I like my Q-tips a little bit more plush. About one stick out of every plastic package of q-tips breaks,: hopefully this won’t happen while you are cleaning your ear. Read more

These cotton swabs with wooden sticks are very reasonable in price; this kind of swab is almost impossible to find in retail stroes. On the occasion that one can find them, they are much more expensive and in smaller quantities. With wooden sticks, they provide the used better control than those very flexible ones made with plastic or carboard sticks. Read more

I bought these swabs because I prefer a sturdier mechanism for cleaning my ears. Normal cardboard swabs bend and frustrate me. These swabs are sturdy and work as expected. I will offer a word of advice, check the stability of the swab before you stick it in your ear. Some of the swabs may not be as structurally sound as you would desire and could cause one to break off in your ear, it's happened to me. Luckily I've been able to remove them without medical intervention. As a rule I now give them somewhat of a pressure test before use as a precaution. Other than the occasional breakage I have no complaints, and I surely have enough to last for a few years at least. Would buy again and again!! Read more
