At first, I wasn't sure about these bands. I used 2 at one time to give more strength as using just one seemed not quite effective. I was looking to replace some good bands & this one is not as strong or grippy. In the picture, the green one is a shot of these IKOCO bands. The blue one is the type I'm looking to find more of as the texture gives it grip. The black one is just a scrunchy for contrast/comparison.The IKOCO one is not a solid thick band but is fabric curled up. I wish that had been shown clearly on the description. They are just elasticized cotton.These have a lot of stretch which made me think they may not hold well unless holding a lot of hair but I was wrong. If I'm ever in doubt, I put 2 together & work that way. I alternate so as not to wear/stretch them out.All in all, I'm glad I bought these as they are different from what I was looking for but am happy with them regardless. Read more

I purchased the hair bands as I have been making face masks during the pandemic and needed bands to use for the ear attachments. These worked well. They also hold their shape when the masks are washed. Funny thing, I also tried to wear one to hold my hair in a ponytail and absolutely love them. I had always used the small, thin, usual elastic hair bands in the past but these are soooooo much better! They hold well and don't pull my hair out when I take them out of my hair!!! Read more

If you have any weight to your hair these will simply not do! I wanted to switch to a hair tie that wouldn’t cause breakage, but these can’t handle the weight of my hair. They’re probably more suited for light and fluffy afro-texture hair than for any other hair type. They’re also definitely NOT cotton, I can tell you that much. I thought they would be like sweatshirt material hair ties, but they’re more like nylon pantyhose. A few of them even have runs in them like pantyhose would get. Read more

I luv these! I have super thick hair and these hold nicely. I can wear a high pony tail all day and it doesn't move at all! The weight of my hair usually makes a pony tail droop after awhile....not these. They really stretch so if I want to tighten it up more, not an issue. I wash them all the time and they bounce right back into shape. They are great! Read more

I haven't used these in my hair but use them for the ear pieces in mask making and for that, they are absolutely brilliant. They are super soft behind the ears and stretch well. So far they have washed well and even been through the tumble dryer with no problems.
