We have had this chair for several months, and while it is certainly a less expensive model and looks like it, it was fitting the purpose (holds a baby so you can feed them). I never felt the seat was too comfortable, but I'm a Gramma and he's only here occasionally and I really liked the way it folded up. The seat has held up and I've been able to keep it clean ... until tonight. The baby choked on a piece of food and he threw up in the chair. So I started taking the seat cover off, only to find out that it required my taking out multiple screws in order to do so, because the seat is not designed for that. I never knew that ANY high chairs were made that way .. doesn't seem very wise in design to me because babies are messy. I'm sure I would have discovered this much sooner if I were using it on a more consistent basis. Now I'm purchasing a new chair, and I am wishing that I had known about this design flaw before I purchased it as it absolutely would have been a deal breaker. So I'm writing this review to warn anyone else who, like me, thinks that high chair cushions should be removable/washable, and the two are apparently not always linked together ... at least with this brand's design. I am a grandmother with a 16 month old grandson who does not live close so I needed a high chair for when he came to stay with us for a bit. Seeing the price on this definitely made me jump on this one since I knew he would only be using this maybe three weeks out of the year. Here are my pros and cons for this high chair:PROS:Price, I paid $39.99 for the Elephant Squares designFolds easily and is compact when foldedIs lightweightEasy to assemble from the boxSteady and does not tip overCONS:This is the most important one for me. The way the seat is made, it is more like a sling that reclines and does not support the child in an upright position. My grandchild sits up just fine so I thought this would not be an issue but the angle it sits at make it impossible for him to stay upright without lying back. We had to put dish towels behind his back to give him some support so he was comfortable sitting upright.There is no seat liner so you cannot remove any part of the seat for cleaning. There were no big spills or messes while he was using it but I don't want to think about what a disaster it would have been if he had spilled milk into the seat. The seat is thin so I suppose you could possibly take the whole thing outside and hose it down and let it air dry. Not sure if that would cause other parts to rust.My advise, even if you are looking for a high chair for a short period of time, pay a bit more or find a good used one somewhere. I was really leery when I purchased this high chair. I read several reviews of people stating that this chair was not suitable for younger babies aka supported sitters. When I got the chair I understood what they are talking about. The back of the seat is tilted back a little and not in a straight up position. You cannot adjust this! However, through some trial and error (haha) I found that by simply putting two baby receiving blankets behind my supported sitter would fix this problem (or any soft material that can be rolled up and used to support precious baby back). I did this method every time my baby girl needed her solid's until she could sit fully on her own. Now she is sitting perfectly in the chair with no issues.Messes do clean easily off of the material! As with anything don't let the food or juice soak and dry into the material. I just use a washcloth with some hot soapy water to wipe away the mess.I really recommend this high chair. For the money, you can't beat this chair. We paid $30 for a lightweight, super cute, and compact high chair that is even travel ready at a moments notice! BUT....The cute seat does not snap off for the washing machine or sink...We purchased for our 8 month old. I have been diligent about wiping it out after every use. She's now 11 months old and the chair is smelly. It HAS to come off to be cleaned at this point. After investigation, the seat is screwed in with 6 thick screws. I unscrewed them, pulled the seat cover off only to find that the bottom pad is not a pad after all: it's a piece of plywood SEWN INTO the seat. This cannot become wet or it will ruin. So I took a seam ripper and ripped the bottom open over along the seam so that I can slide the plywood out before I wash this pad (praying that we can slide it back in after the wash and the seat not be effected). There is FOOD caked inside of the seat around that wood. The entrance of the food particles is getting in from the seatbelt opening between the legs. The other review below that stated hers had mold- I can very much see why/how. What you are witnessing is 4 month old giblets of meat, cereal, and disgustingness. Cosco didn't think this out well. La compré pensando en bebés de 6-9 meses.... La calidad está bien, es fácil de limpiar y fácil de mover, peeero.... El "gran" problema de esta silla es que el bebé no está cómodo. Ergonómicamente no está preparada para bebés de esas edades, ya que no tienen soporte en la espalda... Es cuestión de tiempo (minutos) en que el bebé termina recostado (en la misma silla), y por lo tanto, quejándose porque está incómodo...
