I had issues with my newborns head falling over. Having to ask my 5 year old, "is she okay? Is she breathing?" All the time. Usually when I also put my newborn into her carseat she would cry. I received this insert today, and put my little into it and she fell asleep instantly. (I did just change and feed her before we were leaving) but apparently she found it comfortable :) I bought a backseat mirror to see her and the whole drive her head was upright and in place. Ordered this before I knew adding any type of addition to a car seat nulls the safety rating!!! DO NOT ADD ANYTHING TO YOUR BABIES CAR SEAT UNLESS IT CAME WITH IT AT PURCHASE!Having said that, I bought this to try to make the car seat a little more comfy but this insert made my boy SUPER hot and squished —even with the infant part removed & living in a cool environment. To the point of him screaming inconsolably until he was taken out of the seat. Before knowing how unsafe it is to add things, I was deeply disappointed with this insert. Will be returning. The mesh "cooling pad" is a joke. We drove back from grandma's today and five minutes from home my daughter started screaming. She was in a t-shirt onesie, pants and socks in an air conditioned car (Florida). I pulled her out and she was red and hot to the touch.I'm in the process of trying to cool her down. Second time having a preemie and man did I suffer wt the first one!!! and this totally was a game changer bc he fit to perfection and I felt comfortable taking him home. He was 5lbs when he was released from the hospital. The material is nice and fluffy in the right needed areas and the head part it’s just another plus bc it was good snug around his small little head. I recommend this for those who have a small baby it will give the baby that security it needs and even when he grows you can take the white part and still fit. Read more

Not safe at all. The description states it can be used in a car seat, but the straps in the carseat and the holes for the straps in the insert don’t even come close to lining up. The insert is much wider than the car seat straps. The only way to make it work would be to bunch up the fabric of the insert under baby’s back or pull the straps out to stretch around the insert and bunch up. My car seatIs a graco snugride 30LX.
