It’s great in the beginning then it breaks. Like other reviewers, one of the steps/seats broke where the dowel is inserted. It’s also too small for my 5.5yo to sit in the boat side, her legs are too long and hit the handle.The kids (5, 3, and 1) use it daily as steps but now I’m going to have to figure out how to fix this. I’m going to try glue where the wood plank cracked and possibly drilling deeper and using a longer dowel. Read more
This is well made and sturdy and solid. What I do not like is how slippery it is to climb(I bought for my 1-year-old who loves climbing stairs and thought this was perfect) I think I will need to modify it and add something like felt to tops.Another thing is it’s a cool rocking sea saw type toy. Problem is I can see my baby breaking her leg or smashing toes easily. Gaps in floor make her toes go under constantly and she likes to slip and slide and has already got her legs way under. Luckily I was there to grab the wood and stop it from breaking her legs from my other daughter playing with her.*** I find this EXTREMELY DANGEROUS on both sides of use. My kids love this but one side has a hole that was not made far enough down. We got the post in but after a week of playing on it (10m and 2yrs so not an older heavier child) a piece of the wood chipped where the post was too high. We will probably just wood glue it back on. All other sides had holes made a bit further down so I don't think it will happen on any other sides. Read more
My daughter loves this for her two young boys, but unfortunately within a week or so of using it, one of the bottom steps began to split where the screws went in. Pre-drilled holes too close to the edges?I have contacted the maker but have not heard back yet. Read more
such a wonderful product. Always a great time watching my 11 month old climb and sit. I have to be extra vigilant when my toddler joins in on the fun. Open ended toys. We were able to enjoy this style of climbing structure in our RIE class and finally decided to use at home. wish i would've had one when my toddler was smaller. Read more
Had a musty odor. I thought it was just the box and packaging materials so I assembled it. The actual boat/rocker has the smell also. Cleaned with vinegar and water solotion. Let dry and then cleaned with Murphys oil soap. Still lingering. I'll set it outside when we have a sunny day and hope for the best. I'm not going through the hassle of sending it back so I'll keep working on the problem. May use thieves oil next. The actual boat is built well enough to serve the purpose for 1-2 chikdren for a few years. My girls LOVE this boat. Right now we use the flip side (steps) and they'll climb all over it for an hour sometimes. We've had it for about 2 months now. It still looks brand new and quality is good for the price. Read more
