This is a nice curling iron and does a great job on my thick coarse hair. It heats up quickly and has a turbo function which gets it a bit hotter if needed. I like the choice of 30 heating choices. The swivel cord keeps the cord from tangling. This also had a 60 minute auto shut off function. It has a protective cover if you need to put it away before it is totally cooled off. Great value. This iron heats up quick especially with the turbo button. I have fine hair but a lot of it and usually need to adjust the heat settings to the middle. The curling iron reached a perfect temperature and I was only at about 10, I can imagine that this would work on hard to curl hair if turned up to the max. I followed the settings suggestions on the back of the package. I did not need to hold the iron to my hair for very long, unlike with my old curling iron. I recently cut my hair and my 1 inch was a little too big so I sized down to this guy and it’d perfect for my typical beach wave look! It’s a smidge smaller than my 1 inch so I included a side by side of the 2. My only concern is it’s very hot even on the lower temps and it’s definitely not made from the best material so make sure you use a heat protectant! But you can’t beat it for the price! Read more

The good: I liked the design of this. You can't accidentally turn this up to full heat or down to minimum heat without trying. It wasn't too heavy and the cord rotated nicely, so it wasn't getting in the way. The colors were also very nice and aesthetically pleasing, and the price was very appealing. I can say that the few curls I was able to get looked good. The underside of my hair is hard to curl, and this iron performed about as well as other curling irons.The bad: I was able to curl about 5 small sections on high heat before this broke. As I set it down it let out a spark and died. I unplugged it and let it cool. I tried plugging it in later on in a safe area, and it wouldn't turn on at all. I did check and make sure it wasn't the outlet. I'm not sure if this is a long standing issue, or just a single unit with wonky wiring. Because I needed it for an event I had to go out and buy a different curling iron, so I won't be testing out a replacement. Read more

Pretty easy to Handle the ¾ inch curler. The weight it even and light. Got hot quick. After on use I'm writing review, so I may change my mind...My hair is thin and curls do not fully stay put for more than about 2-3hrs on their own. I usually have the use product. Photo 1, was taken after 1hr done. The rest were taken right after finishing my hair. I also ran my fingers threw my hair a few time. No product was added. I love it. 💘WILL DEFINITELY use hair spray and moose next time. So worth it personally. My hair is short so you can see the difference in the photo. Read more

I have short thin hair and I actually love this curling iron... EXCEPT: I have areas of my short hair that are thicker because they are not as layered as different parts of my hair which are layered and thinner and this curling iron will not ever ever ever ever ever ever grab my thinner hair even when I push the clamp shut with my thumb against the barrel it will not Not NOT, hold my HAIR. What I like about this curling iron: it's light weight, easy to turn on and off, and heats up fast.Sadly, because of the way the iron buttons are placed, your fingers may sometimes unintentionally turn the temperature dial. This adjusts the temperature even when you don't mean to. For me, this is just an annoying problem; it hasn't caused any problems with my hair. However, if you were trying to use it on a low heat to protect thin delicate hair and you kept accidentally turning it up to high heat, I could see where it might burn or damage your hair. Read more

I have naturally curly hair 3b hair that got destroyed from too much bleach . I used Shea moisture repair masques which helped a lot but still my Chris were limp and sad . I am posting a before and after it lasted 4 days in good curled condition given that I wear a silk bonnet to sleep and only finger brush hair . I also use anti frizz serum and heat protectant serum before curling . I love this iron it left my hair soft and shiny . Highly recommend especially for this price ! Read more

I ordered the 3/4” ceramic barrel curling iron with settings. What I received was not what was described or pictured. I received a very basic iron which did not have a ceramic barrel but a shiny metal barrel and no settings - no off/on, no heat control. What a disappointment! I always buy Conair now because I have found that it is better than other brands I have tried. However, The spring mechanism could be tighter to hold my fine hair around the barrel. It seems to be hit and miss to get a tight one. I kept this one because if I'm careful it works but I have ordered another one hoping it will be better. I DO like the ceramic barrel better than the plain metal ones. I do NOT like the position of the on/off switch as my finger could easily turn it off every time I change hand positions and the turbo button scares me.
