What a waste! Temp choices are either cool to scalding. There is no way to adjust (raise or lower) the hood's height and it does not lock in place (moves up and down, does not sit in one position you have to hold it in place while it is on your head). If you don't mind having the hood constantly hit you in the head or holding the hood in place while your fingers burn, then congratulations...this is the dryer for you. Read more

Why haven't I bought this sooner. This fits perfectly on a table and over my clients head and lifted the highlights I was doing, just I had hoped it would. If you do hair at home or just need an extra dryer, this one is it. I especially like the vent at the top of the hood to let out some air, that way the person underneath doesn't get to super hot. I ordered this hair dryer for my mother who had a similar older model. We were disappointed that there was no way to raise or lower the height of the dryer hood. The older model was more adjustable.
