I bought another one. 😊Update1, 10/26/19: My second Conair 1875 Watt Cord-Keeper Hair Dryer died after two years of daily use. I bought another one to replace it. 😊 - - - -I purchased this Conair 1875 Watt Cord-Keeper Hair Dryer through Amazon Warehouse as an open box item. It replaces my Conair 1875 Watt Cord-Keeper Hair Dryer that I purchased in December 2013, which died after 3-1/2 years of daily use. The dryer is in like-new condition and works just as well as my old one. It is loud, but so was my old one. My son once joked that it sounded like a plane was taking off when I had the air on the High setting. Normally, the Low setting is sufficient--I only use the High setting when I'm running late and need to dry my hair fast. I love the pink color--my old one was red. I saw some of the complaints about the dangers with the retractable cord. I don't know why Conair doesn't include instructions. Before pressing the button to retract the cord, you should secure the plug so it doesn't hit you when the cord retracts. I grasp the cord just below the plug and hold it next to the base of the handle (see photo). I then press the button to retract the cord with my other hand. Read more

I just got this blow dryer hoping that with 3 different temperatures, there would be a medium setting with a temperature that isn't too hot.Unfortunately, "Warm" is not a lot different than "High". The temperature of "Cool" is about 85F degrees. "Warm" is just under 180F degrees. "Hot" is almost 223F degrees. The settings should instead read: Cool, Hot, Really Hot. I got this because I just needed just a nice, normal hair dryer for the rare occasion that I blow dry my hair once a month. I chose this one because I knew it would spend most it’s time in storage drawer and I didn’t want a big long charging cord hanging around every where and getting tangled.The other features that made this a great choice for me is that it has warm, cool, and hot settings as well as low and high and a diffuser attachment. All the things I was looking for.I would recommend this to those in the dorm rooms or small apartments (basically anyone who doesnt have a lot of bathroom storage space because it’s just normal size and not bulky and you don’t have to worry about the cord. ) Read more

2 years ago I bought this blow dryer and I LOVED it .... never a problem, never an issue ... after 2 years it stopped working and for the price I really felt I got my moneys worth .... so I ordered a new one... in less than 30 days it stopped working, Amazon sent me a replacement ... after 6 weeks it stopped working ... because it was after the 30 days Amazon would not replace the dryer so I bought another one HOPEFUL these were just 2 fluky bad luck dryers ... NOPE yesterday after 32 days the dryer stopped working again ... sadly again, it was after 30 days ... Conair will replace the dryer but I have to spend the money to send it back and again, since the dryer was so inexpensive I am not sending it back but this time I WILL buy a different dryer ... I have a strange problem with this product, but apparently waited too long to do anything about it. I looked for a way to contact the seller, and would still be open to negotiating a return or refund, if possible. For now, this seems to be my only method of resolution. The dryer itself works fine, but the power adaptor appears to have a manufacturing error. When I plug it in, it falls out of the outlet while in use. I am constantly plugging the power back into the wall while it is running, which seems very dangerous to me. I have tried various outlets around my home, but the same problem persists. It does not appear to have anything to do with the retractable cord, which works fine, and does not inhibit the connection in any way. It is almost as if the prongs on the AC adaptor plug were made too short - just by a 1/2 a centimeter or something - but it is not noticeable until the dryer is in operation. I don't feel safe using it, and definitely cannot allow my teenage daughter to use it, which is primarily the reason I bought it. I read all the other reviews carefully and did not see this issue reported by anyone else, so it must be just a fluke. Help!Otherwise, the sale, shipping, etc for this transaction were satisfactory. It will at the end of the day dry your hair, but there is a clear difference between this and a higher quality blow dryer. I got this one for traveling as I liked the cord-keeper aspect. The material is a cheap cheap plasticky pink, but the retractable cord feature works well! the high heat setting is damaging to hair, even when using the diffuser. Read more

Very disappointed!. This hair dyer is loud and VERY dangerous. Please who ever purchases this be careful of the cord. It retracts so fast that it hits your hand. I have an older model and I never had this issue. High heat doesn't get hot just warm, warm is warm and cool is cool. Don't wast your money on this! Read more

I'd been looking for an affordable hair dryer for my daughter that had the retractable cord, and this is the one. Unfortunately, cover for the spring to retract the cord popped off before we even used it, but we popped it back on and are hoping for the best. I could've gotten a comparable dryer without the retractable cord for a lesser price to do just what we needed; however, I wanted to make putting things away as simple for my 11-year-old as possible. The less maintenance she has, the less stress, headache and 'nagging' I have... It's working great thus far!! Read more
