BW2 definetly the strongest bleach. This is my go to when im dying my units from natural dark brown to blonde. In the pics you see the before and after using 40 volume for 60min. Perfect for when I want a nive warm blonde. I only do two bleach baths when im trying to go to ash blonde but i never have to use 40 vol (2x)(after first processing i use a 30 volume and I can use T18 toner and i get a perfect ash blonde. But the bleaching powder gets the job done. Very strong lift cuts processing time a lot i use to only uae blue powder and have to process hair with 40vol twice just to get to a real yellow blonde which causes alot of damage of not carefully treated afterwards. But Im sticking to BW2 Powder. All the pic above Im showimg end result of using BW2 Powder with toner (T14, T18 and NEAUTRAL BLONDE) ussually only takes a 60min processing to be able to tone with NEUTRAL BLONDE TONE .ASH BLONDE REQUIRES ONE MORE PROCESSING TIME OF USSUALLY 30MIN WITH 30 VOLUME. Clairol is a good bleach but I recommend buying from your local beauty supply store. I got a quarter of a bag. It's even less when you take the tie off (see pictures) Read more
My hair was perfectly healthy before i used this bleach!!! Some of my hair is fried and Im so mad. Only after 15 minutes of finishing putting this in my hair i could actually hear my hair sizzling and there was actually steam coming off my head! My scalp was burning worse from using this bleach than when ive done it in the past with any other bleach, my scalp felt like it was bleeding. I couldn't bare it even 15 minutes after applying so i rinsed it off and I still had fried hair!!! I have been working with hair for nearly 10 years and I have never had any experience like this on myself or on my clients!! Read more
I feel this is the strongest bleach powder for taking very resistant darker hair to the perfect blond, while having a manageable texture. Some other powders I've tried either the paste starts getting too loose as it processes and starts dripping off my hair, or it has purple tint to tone while bleaching but that made it impossible for me to easily gauge if my hair had lightened to the exact color I was going for. Since this is white it doesn't obscure the delicate color as you take the last bit of orange out of your hair to get to that shade just between yellow banana skin and the creamy banana inside. My hair is a medium mousey brown but is extremely resistant to bleaching to that shade of blond without leaving the brassy orange tones, so what I do is accelerate the lightening with a plastic cap and hair dryer heat. I can get to blond in about 4-5 minutes this way (checking at 3 minutes and again every additional minute), whereas if I left it on just cold it would not get to the light blond stage even in 45 minutes of waiting - and eventually the chemical lightening loses its strength if you wait that long. I've been doing hair a very long time. I started using Kelieda (sp) Colors back in 2003,and have been using ever since.I decided to try this, just did highlights the other night. I was so impressed!Normally I have use a 30V to lift my medium ash brown hair..With this, I realized I was out, so had to use a 20V. My hair lightened to blonde in literally 10/15 ms. No toner needed.I did use heat for about 5 minutes. Normally, even with heat, it takes my hair about 30/45 ms to lift.My hair was not in the best condition either at the time of use. The only thing I did was 2 seperate Olaplex treatments in the week and day prior. I had NO damage afterwards.Would absolutely recommend!! I'll be using this now from here on out. Read more
Great product! I had my hair professionally lightened earlier in the year then let the roots grow out to about an inch. Used this to lighten the roots and it worked perfectly. Definitely keep in mind that all lighteners will turn your hair orange- not white- and plan to buy toner to go along with this. Also you will need developer to mix with this powder. I used Wella T-18 as a toner and got a lovely bright blonde. It completely canceled out the orange tones. BW2 did it's job in lightening my hair to the proper level and it was an excellent combination! Read more
This bleach is strong stuff, lightens really well surprisingly for not being blue based or violet. Not bad damage either works well with 30 vol developer if you have virgin dark blond hair close to brown like mine was(: alot of the reviews were negative but not this one! There's more than enough for plenty bleachings with this bucket! Bleached twice and toned and now I'm happy with white/blonde hair of my dreams! I would recommend only leaving it on for 25 minutes each bleaching otherwise it starts to itch and burn the scalp (you could also go for a 20 vol if you're trying to achieve blond, or go for a slower process) I was determined to do this and I'm happy with the results. It does have a smell so be prepared. Happy bleaching! Read more
I love this stuff. My mother was scared to bleach my hair, and once she was convinced after I did my research, I found this powder for a very good price. So one day, I just went and mixed this with $1 level 10 developer and this was my result. I actually have AA, thick, coarse, damaged hair. And I left it on for 10-30 minutes, I didn't wrap it in foil, I wrapped it in cling wrap actually. I also bleached it twice to get this color. I put it on the first time, it was a brown color. Rinsed it and applied again (I know you're not supposed to do that but I wanted to use the rest of the product I mixed up). Then used deep conditioner so it wouldn't break off. I love my results. The smell of the powder is very strong. I didn't even have gloves but be very careful though. I did this in May and I still haven't experienced breakage or anything. Read more
