Tastes horrible—you’d think a version marketed as more natural would avoid using alcohol sugars or artificial sweeteners… alas, it still has all the bad ingredients, plus some vinegar and stevia. Blech. Read more

I have tried a lot of different kinds of foods, but nothing like this before. I shook it up, as per instructions, opened it and some pleasant tasting apple flavored juice came out, then the spout clogged up... huh? Then I read about how you are supposed to chew the drink to prevent choking... The thick jelly was having a hard time coming out of the spout, and I was sucking maybe too hard, and it occured to me that I needed to be careful so I wouldn't inhale this drink to the back of my throat! Maybe my radar was up because I never had tried anything like this before. (It also made me look up Konjac, and I discovered quite a few questionable things about this product, good and not so good!) I did read a lot of beneficial things about Konjac as well, so there is a balance of information out there.Back to this drink... I kinda scared myself into squeezing the remainder into a little cup, rather than sucking on the bottle like I was doing. The texture was like a stiff slimy jello substance... which normally would be a big turn off, and slimy textures do not "jell" with me, BUT, this stuff actually tasted very good, good enough to make me want to finish what I started! I chewed on this drink the best I could, which was weird, to chew a drink, but it did slide down very easily. I will find out perhaps tomorrow if the fiber content has any effect on me... I do need help in that department. I just hope it doesn't clog up my works! Sorry for TMI! I am honest in my personal assessments, and again this is strange because even though there are quite a few red flags with Konjac, I still did liked this jelly drink, and I have 4 more bottles in the pack to down, but only time will tell if I try it again any time soon. Usually Konjac jelly is the best way to fill you up without many calories. Most other similar konjac jelly of this type consist of 2~20 per pouch (they are of course packed with some time of sugar substitute to make them taste sweet).I requested this one without reading the ingredient list, because Chung Jun One is the one of the most trusted and popular food brands in South Korea, and known for its high quality. I think they really overdid it with sugar to mask the vinegar taste and make it more tasty. For me it is too sugarly, which kind of defeats the purpose of eating konjac jelly.I suggest you shake or massage the pouch well before opening as when I tried to pour jelly out of the pouch for the purpose of taking a picture for review, only liquid came out and I had to squeeze hard to get the jelly out. But you won’t have this problem if you just suck them out of the pouch with your mouth as intended. In the end, this one tastes good, and 80 calories, even though it is higher than other similar konjac jelly available on market, is still quite lower than most snacks and drinking vinegar has many benefits according to many well-known nutritionists. I am undecided on this particular one. Read more
Can I first start off and say THANK YOU to o'food for creating a konjac jelly with prebiotics and fiber?!? I purchased this product because I work a full-time desk job so it is difficult for me to prepare and eat a solid breakfast each morning. I also regularly drink apple cider vinegar (particularly from this brand) diluted with some water to aid in my digestion and weight loss journey. So you can imagine how excited I was to come across something that solves so many of my problems. Hong Cho drinking vinegar with konjac jelly is a vegan beverage made from a mixture of fruit vinegars and juices diluted with water. It is a filling beverage that is usually consumed as a meal or meal supplement. Drinking vinegar boosts metabolism, improves blood sugar and insulin levels, and promotes weight loss. Each pouch contains 5 grams of plant fiber (prebiotics) that feeds and encourages beneficial gut bacteria. Those who tried apple cider vinegar might know already... it's sour and slightly bitter. This is little bit more sweet and easy to drink because it comes in a drinkable pouch. I don't like to drink this on an empty stomach because it's vinegar based, but it's perfect for in-between meal hungers. I like the texture of konjac jelly in the drink and it's quite fun to eat. It's also sweet enough to quell my sweet tooth. I would recommend the green apple flavor if you want something sweeter, and the grapefruit flavor if you want something tangier. Read more
For those who love jello and apple Jolly Ranchers, the Chung Jung One O'Food Hong Cho Konjac Jelly is a fun and tasty snack to try. The jelly comes in a pouch that is similar to the type that kid's snacking apple sauce or baby food comes in. It's squeezable, resealable, and just the right size to enjoy as a quick snack, a lunch treat, or when on the go. The jelly itself is soft and sweet and has a flavor that reminds me of green apple candies. The vinegar in the drink is very mild - it's much milder than apple cider vinegar, but still offers a small health boost. I opened a package to get a better look at the gel and it came out in a good sized chunk. The gel is light yellow colored and the texture is a bit softer than standard jello. If you are planning on giving it to young kids, I would watch carefully because it can be a choking hazard. It's very easy to accidentally suck the container too hard and end up having a large chunk of gel go down the wrong windpipe. Overall, if you're looking for a unique snack that's lightly sweet and apple-flavored, this is a fun treat to try. Read more
