Based on mixed reviews, I was hoping this would be the flat iron I had for over 6 years that has just started not working as well & the plug box is coming apart but I have to agree with the other reviewers indicating this is a fake. I thought maybe this was just an updated model but if you look at the box it comes in & the manual, it looks like my original one but the actual product is different. The quality of the one I received seems cheaper, in general, including the feel of it, the weight of it, the thickness of the plates, & the outlet. I have attached pictures to show you the comparison. Based on quality alone, I did not want to use the product & I'm returning it. However, you may still be satisfied with how it works (I cannot comment on that) but if you had an authentic Chi & are looking to purchase the same thing, I don't believe this is it. Read more

It does look just like the picture and it heats up and cools down really quickly I saw a few reviews stating that this item was not a authentic item. At first I was disappointed when I received this item and realized it didn’t have adjustable heat settings. I had looked at so many different ones that I got confused. So I was going to send it back but thought I would give it a try first, and I’m glad I did!
