In general, I always use this perfume since my youth, I love it for winter and autumn, it feels like a bouquet of white flowers where the predominant note is gardenia, there is also some carnation, I love that the container is large 3,4 ounce, and the price is super cheap, and so I can bathe in it without regrets, the only thing I do not like is that it does not last long and it is necessary to reapply it several times during the day, but with that price, it does not really matter. The entire line of Charlie perfumes are long-lasting - and not overpowering - but "Red" is by far my favorite! I've been using this perfume for over a decade and still really like the way it smells on me and how long it lasts.I have a couple of more expensive perfumes that I rotate, based on where I'm going and/or how I'm feeling. I like to wear a scent every day - which can get spendy with the price of some perfumes! I love that Charlie Red is extremely affordable and smells great. Other inexpensive perfumes tend to smell like alcohol or have overly artificial scents (especially florals - which tend to nearly gag me with the smell)."Red" is light and "playful" (can that be used to describe a perfume?), not strong, musky, or heavy. The scent is so light and not what I remember my grandma wearing. Maybe she wore the original Charlie but had a bottle of the silver and I got them mixed up. But not at all what I was expecting. This is not Eau de Toilette as its described and and labeled on the box. As soon as I opened the box and saw how light in color this is, sprayed it on my wrist there is nearly no fragrance whatsoever. I'm very disappointed because I had worn this year's ago and thought I'd give it a try again. I'm going to stick to my old stand by Estee Lauder's Pleasures. This was a waste of my money. Read more

So nice for the price! Summery, heady like a hot FL summer, with magnolia and/or gardenia as well as other white flowers mixed with a nice spicy side- but very well balanced. Great for my July Beach vacation! Lasts as long as a bath and body works spray though, so for half the price of one of those, this is definitely more mature, almost heady in its composition.
