Amazing occlusive. It seals in everything I layer underneath. It's greasy, but not horrifically so. I wear it during the day as a final layer before sunscreen in the winter and the greasy look wears off within an hour of application. It's insanely moisturizing and protects your skin the entire day. I have had no issues with my seborrheic dermatitis flaring up with this, which is typically sensitive to a lot of products. Apply it at bed time and wake up with super soft skin. A pea sized amount is all you need for your entire face.I like it better than just plain vaseline because it's not as greasy and it contains a number of its own moisturizing ingredients. It's better than lanolin products if you have any fungal skin conditions, since the lanolin exacerbates those. I've found it to work well with the rest of the products in my regime. It leaves my skin well moisturized, soft, and bright. Rough skin patches are gone. Red irritation spots are gone. Just an amazing product that you get a ton of mileage out of. Read more

Purchased because I kept getting mascne (mask acne) wearing a surgical mask for 12 hr at work. I read online that mascne is mostly from friction of the mask on sensitive areas. So now I lather this on my chin before my shift and after lunch and have noted my acne to have improved. I also use 2% salicylic acid wipes before work and before bed and together these two have worked great. I am an avid fan of CeraVe and use a good number of their products. I was eager to try this because of the additional ingredients like ceramides.Before I get a new product, no matter how loyal I am to the brand, I like to read both positive and negative reviews. I had read reviews about the product being so hard to dispense but I thought, surely it cannot be THAT hard, right? WRONG.I do NOT understand how CeraVe hopes we will use this product. I squeezed with as much power as I could harness and nothing came out. I gave it to my husband, who could only get a TINY blob. We took the cap off and not that much came out either. I am wondering if this particular batch is so solid or we got sold a bad batch??For the record, this is in Texas heat and my husband and I are in our early 30's. Tried returning it but unfortunately, seller does not have a return policy which I understand. I should just have stuck to Aquaphor which was doing a great job. I had very severe dry, flaking skin around my mouth. My lips would peel off and crack whenever I smile. I’ve used a lot of expensive serums and lotion, and they would burn or had minimal effect (as seen in before photo). I found cleansing with CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser + CeraVe PM facial lotion + this product (yes you even apply the lotions to your lips) to help treat this. I have been struggling with rashes, hives, dyshidrotic eczema on both hands and feet. After figuring out what is triggering the breakouts I have been trying to heal the skin and to ease off of the cortisteroids (which actually thin out skin over time). This ointment is a little greasy, particularly if you slather it on heavy (which I do at night and cover my feet with socks). I also use it throughout the day a little bit more lightly and I have noticed that not only does my skin not itch, and thus I don't scratch it (further irritating it) but that the rashes and hives are slowly receding. This makes sense given that the ceramides are helping to replace and renew the skin's barrier. I am beginning to realize how important skin care is for exczema and skin issue, which I only have suffered from sporadically but most recently quite intensely. In short: while healing myself from the inside out (taking out dairy, low gluten, lots of vitamin d3, and anthistamines like quertcetin and bromenade) I am also healing the skin itself which has been traumatized from all the scratching and steroids. This was delivered today and I was slightly worried after reading the comments about some having a 2020 expiry date for such a pricey item. The expiry on the actual tube says 10/21 but there’s also a label that’s been stuck on saying 02/2023. Two weeks ago I was really battling with peri oral dermatitis. I had never suffered with any skin complaints in my life (I'm nearly 60). It had happened because I had a bad allergic reaction to Ameliorate facial cream. My skin was inflamed, sore and burning. I was prescribed Rosex and Canesten by the doctor but neither had any effect...it was really getting me down. Then I ordered Cerave healing ointment out of desperation. It is rather like the texture of Vaseline and difficult to get out of tube but whatever other ingredients this balm has in it, it has worked miracles. Immediately I put it on, my face felt less sore and itchy. Two weeks later the POD has almost gone and my skin feels almost back to normal. It may not work for everyone, but I am so thankful that I tried it. I Wish it was sold in UK as very expensive on Amazon. As an added bonus, this is the best lip balm that I have EVER used. Really good product. Used mainly as lip balm. Good for whole family. Only problem is, on the very first use, the top of the packaging split open as I tried to squeeze product out of the open end. I think because it is too thick for the packaging. We now just have to squeeze a bit of product out of the top of the broken packaging each day. A bit annoying but not the end of the world. Read more
