Completely won over by this product. The other five star reviews have given enough praises. I agree with them all: beautiful packaging, creamy texture, easy to apply, great price compared to luxury brands but with even better quality. Here are some shade selection tips from my purchase: CR138 is a dramatic red red, beautiful - but if you are not used to wearing red lipstick, it would be best for special occasions; CO135 - a darker red with some tint of brown and a subtle satin finish that's almost matte, would be great for fall, everyday wear or special occasion; CO 137 is best for everyday wear: it's pigmented enough, but not aggressive or loud at all, a matte coral without too much orange, just perfect! This is a gorgeous color for any skin-type. On my olive skin, this orange-red color is perfect. The lipstick, however, did not arrive in good condition. It is so creamy (slick) that the lipstick slid out of the white barrel and came loose inside the tube, causing nicks and lipstick inside the lid. I'm unable to apply even the slightest pressure to this lipstick and will need to use a lip brush or press the lipstick into a lipstick tub. Both the package and color are gorgeous! Color is exactly what I was expecting. I did a comparison swatch with Armani 206 and you can see that Catkin 135 is lightly more orange. It looks perfect on yellowish dull skin. It brightens up my skin color. I love this brand. My first time trying anything by them even though it’s been in my cart for the longest time. It went on sale and I decided to treat myself to this piece of art. Well worth it!There are a few reasons I love it;1) Thoughtful packaging.One of the most annoying things when shopping online is when a company doesn’t take the proper steps to ensuring their product arrives to you in perfect condition. Yeah, it is partly Amazon’s job, but from the company to Amazon, that’s their reputation as a company for ensuring quality. The lipstick arrived in a beautifully designed box, and when you opened it there’s a thin layer of cardboard surrounding the actual lipstick. It was the first time I’ve seen it, and it really made me appreciate the company’s thoughtfulness.2) Every part of the product is beautiful. From packaging to lipstick canister... it’s a work of art. I know their mission is blending beauty with traditional Chinese art/ aesthetics and it’s no joke. This is nothing short of a masterpiece.3) The lid to the lipstick is magnetic. I think this is another clever and thoughtful design element. I don’t know if you have had a lipstick open in your purse and ruin EVERYTHING, but I have. It is a PAIN to clean out, I’m so sorry if you’ve experienced this too. What I like about this is, if you put it in your purse/pocket/stashie, you’ll never have to worry about it opening, breaking into bits, and ruining everything it comes in contact with. The formula is moisturizing (at least for me) and I live in PA which means chapped lips. The color is pigmented you can build up as much color as you want though. The first time I only did one coat and it was a bit coral, then when I applied multiple coats it has a beautiful rouge color. I can’t really talk about longevity objectively because no matter what brand, lipstick usually lasts all day for me.I’ve talked a lot about it XD so if you’ve made it this far, I hope you can see why it’s worth buying~I enjoyed everything about this brand and when I save enough, that $108 kit of lipsticks will be mine (broke college student here).I would definitely recommend this to any makeup/ art lover~! I have a little test I do with all lipsticks i buy as I have been on a quest for a true stay all day lipstick for years. Im one of those apply once and forget it girls.The test has never worked until now. But. Its only draw back is the colour shown is not true.. its off by about I would say 3 shades i ordered a 034. I think any way it was a medium brown shown in the picture but its actually a light carmel shade.Its not drying it dosnt crack or smudge even with eating with no fade spots.I normally use a sealer but it wasn't needed. I will buy again but I will have to adjust the shade I choose.The lipstick cover is beyond bueatiful and it has a magnetic seal real old school class. So it won't just fall open in your bag.Now if this company would just make a darker foundation.. I would buy the full range..I am hooked I have to admit. I just ordered the lip gloss jelly. The casing is gorgeous but the lipstick is even better. Feels more like a moisturised stain than a greasy, heavy lipstick. Colour is long lasting and very pretty.
