I have (had) light brown hair; which turns blonde when exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods. I have had great success with this product. My hair is now 'more' brown (darker) than when I first started. Have been using for 2 years. It does work very slowly. After reading literature this product could be significantly better if capsule was enteric coated. Stomach acid destroys catalase. Stomach acid can be less depending on various factors. Using enteroric capsules would not greatly increase cost but greatly improve product results. Read more

I have used this product religiously for 16 months as directed (1 pill, twice a day). For reference, I didn't get my first gray hair until 10 years ago. I am nearly 50 now.Let's start with the positives. 1) The price point is good compared to other products currently on the market. 2) I didn't have any negative reactions from taking these pills and my doctor said it was fine to do so when asked during my annual checkup. 3) My hair does seem healthier.Now onto the less positive aspects. In the photo you will see a few strands of grays. When I first started taking these pills, I had two gray strands in that part of my head. They have since quadrupled. The original two strands are still very white at the roots. For me, it did NOT reverse grays and it has not prevented new grays. ***EDITED REVIEW***Previously, I received two versions of the capsules, one made from GELATIN and the other from VEGGIE caps (hypromellose). I requested the company to replace the gelatin caps, and they immediately sent me knew ones.Being vegan I abstain from animal products and I am very pleased to see that this products is free from animal ingredients.Their new version of the catalase extreme contains much smaller caps with only catalase and you only take ONE cap daily, instead of two previously which is great.Thank you and God bless. I am taking it for almost 6 months I am very satisfied with the results. My hair is more beautiful, with a wonderful bright - many people noticing it. I realized the results after the first 3 months, noticing that the quantity of white hair had a small decrease. And after that, every month I see an improvement and my hair is slowly becoming black again. I strongly recommend it! My doubt is if I should keep taking it even after my hair is totally black again or if I should stop. By the way, is there a recommended maximum period of time to take it, or can I take it indefinitely. It would be nice to have reviews/ recommendation or studied if pregnant women can take it. I am taking Catalase to neutralize the H2O2 in my system. Been taking 2 each morning for a week. No negative reaction. I am sleeping very well and feeling pretty spunky for an old woman. I have been buying this from the manufacturer for a few years, and was surprised to see it here on amazon for less. When I received it today I noticed the poor quality of the printing on the label, the bottle is not the same size (with very poor quality plastic molding) and the capsules are a pale brown color instead of gray like I have been receiving from Rise-N-Shine directly. I'm thinking I got a knock-off instead of the real thing. I'm not sure I'm going to risk taking them. I have successfully used this product for over 15 years. I take it twice a day with meals as part of my daily routine, I have straight, thick, strawberry blond hair. This product has definitely slowed the graying process as evidence by significantly less gray than my siblings and same aged peers. I'm over 60 and I now have some small streaks of gray emerging. However, most people believe these streaks are intentional highlights and I'm often complimented on my hair color. I'm certain that this product works for me but I believe it may not work for everyone. i haven't been consistent in taking it but i think it does make a difference..when i took it for a month my grays diminished..then i got lazy but i can hardly see it getting worse after two months almost never taking it. my roots are pretty big now and it does not look that bad..was getting pretty bad 6 months ago..so i think this made a difference and reversed it partially..
