I've used this product for years. But no more. When my most recent order arrived, the first thing I noticed was the different shape of the bottles. Squared-off instead of rounded. OK; just a bottle. Alas, that wasn't the only change. The old stuff had a very mild scent. If it had ginseng in it, I never noticed it. Now it absolutely reeks of ginseng--so much so that I can't stand it. I can't imagine why C-M would do this to an "old time" product. But I'm sure I'm not imagining a change. It hit me like a truck; and I tried to write it off at first as a product of my imagination. But after several tries, I'm not even close to being able to ignore it.Perhaps my case is a fluke; perhaps mine are the only square-shouldered bottles with an overdosing of ginseng. But if anyone else has found the same, I hope they;ll mention it, so I can cancel the appointment I'm making with my shrink to make sure I'm not delusional. Read more

This, IMHO, is just overpriced shampoo. After using it for over a month now, it does nothing to my hair that just a more inexpensive (e.g., Suave) shampoo. The scent is essentially nonexistent (so if you are looking for a shampoo with virtually little to no scent, this might be for you!). The apothecary type plastic bottle is cute, but I didn't buy this for the bottle. I gave it 3 Stars because it lathers well enough, and leaves my hair feeling clean, like just about any other shampoo would do. I would not purchase this again, nor would I strongly encourage others to purchase it. Read more

This shampoo is not what you'd expect: its consistency is very thick. For a man with short hair, I use about as much as I would use toothpaste on my toothbrush, and though the bottle seems small, it lasted me two months with daily washes. The smell is so sublime, so anodyne, so perfect, I just can't imagine anyone disliking it. It leaves my hair soft, clean, manageable, and shiny. This is absolutely worth the cost! Read more

I'm usually not loyal to one particular brand of shampoo. I try one brand, find that it's really no big deal and then it's on to the next. I tried Dr. Hunter's Hairwash once, and I liked it enough to come back again. It has a very pleasing fragrance - herbal, not perfume-y. There are times when I'm in a hurry and skip the conditioner, but my hair still feels great. The price fluctuates, so you have to watch this product like a hawk in order to purchase it at a more reasonable price but it's worth it. Read more

Expensive, but lasts because the lather really suds up. Hair felt great, smelled good, and seemed very soft even before conditioning. I absolutely love the smell, but the price is steep for a small bottle, so make it last by being frugal! Read more

My favourite wash. Nice squeaky clean. A very old fashioned scent that works for anyone. Was disappointed that the bottle was plastic though. Read more
