NOT ORIGINAL...If the scent is changed then come up with a new name... It's really digusting what they did. This scent has a cheap Avon feel and is incredibly overpriced for such a smell... However, if these boneheads would bring back the original scent maybe they would have some happy customers and make some decent money with repeat customers. The packaging was tasteful, especially for a Xmas stocking stuffer. The fragrances of Newport and Sandalwood were very pleasant - not overpowering.BUT, SO VERY DISAPPOINTED IN FUNCTIONALITY!After two weeks of hanging by its rope on the shower caddy, the soap has completely cracked in half and is only attached to its rope by a shard. I bought this as a surprise for my dad. I have fond memories of him wearing it all throughout my childhood. Having said that, he mentioned that the formula now although very similar to the scent he remembers is not the same. This one that I had purchased does not last throughout the day like the old formula did. It also has gone up about $40 and doesn’t have the same color as it once did either. I have purchased many triple-milled soaps and find that the Caswell-Massey soap is the best I have found. Many so called triple-milled soaps wear down and/or come apart as if they were less expensive soaps. With Caswell-Massey the soap doesn't come apart, and it lasts seemingly forever. And I understand that Caswell-Massey company is the fourth longest continuous business in operation in the US, having been founded in 1752. So you also get a bit of history with the soap. Read more

I took a chance on this soap as I was not familiar with its scent. I was very pleased when they (3) arrived. The scent was masculine, clean and delightful. In past I've purchased Nautica soap on a rope for my 4 sons...it had become a stocking stuffer tradition since teen years that they loved. Everything it claims to be and more. Outstanding clean, fresh, nautical scent, not overly sweet or synthetic. Lathers well and rinses clean, and leaves my skin feeling great, never tight and never sticky or greasy. I'll have a box for Summer '18 guaranteed.
