My dentist recommended I use this rinse. I purchased the MINT flavor. Problem is it BURNS when I use it. I can only rinse for about a minute and then need to spit it out and use water to stop the burning. The pain is below my tongue and a little on the cheeks. I am going to order the CITRUS to see if that is different. Remember, it just may be me.UPDATE - We did order the citrus version and I am happy to report that there was no burning. Fortunately my wife did NOT experience the burning sensation as I did so she will use the MINT while I have the citrus - I changed the stars from 3 to 5. Read more
I bought this wash when it was recommended to me by my dental hygienist. I was a bit skeptical about the price and the need to order it online - but I had several cavities that need to be filled and followed their advice to include a fluoride rinse in my normal routine.The rinse feels quite strong after a minute of swishing, but it don't find that it "burns" any more than an alcohol rinse. It generally feels gentler on my mouth actually. I really like the PH balancing effect and the addition of xylitol. After reading about some of the positive effects of xylitol, I also purchased some gum (not from the same company) that has high levels of xylitol and is designed to supplement oral health.If you struggle with cavities even with proper flossing and brushing, I highly recommend this rinse. I don't know how well it actually works yet because I have not had my follow up to the appointment yet, but my mouth feels a lot cleaner and healthier when I wake up in the morning know that I finish the day with this rinse. This product really works. I wished you would sell the CTx36 kit and gel 5000 and CTx 4 rinse treatment on Amazon. I’m a nurse and 12 hour shifts make it difficult to brush at times so the rinse is perfect. Please do not change a thing this is a really good product. I won’t ask my dentist for it, if you sell the higher end items I will definitely buy. No need for details, dentists these days aren’t the same as they were 40 years ago. I bought this at the suggestion of my dentist who indicated that it might help to slow the recession of my gums which was starting to threaten several permanent teeth. The key ingredient is xylitol which more actively fights against bacteria that live and work below the gum line. You can tell the difference from regular alcohol used in some other mouthwashes. A 60 second swish leaves your mouth "burning". It also has fluoride. My dentist said that it seems to be working well for me.This product is not cheap, but it is well worth it for me. Read more
My dentist recommended this product. They use all the Carifree products in their office. If you drink wine or other acidic beverages, this neutralizes the acid. No alcohol to dry your gums and has fluoride. It is a bit pricey, but preventative care is cheaper in the long run. We’ve been using this product for about 3 years now. Read more

My dentist of 15 years insists of my use of Carefree CTx3 rinse, but will charge $40 per bottle if purchased in her office. So clearly, this direct purchase via Amazon is a bargain (including postage, just over $18 per bottle). Standard delivery was priority mail, so delivered within 3 days of purchase from Carifree. Mouthwash itself tastes like a rinse from the dentist office, and is very strong. Multiple warnings insist not to swallow, if it is, contact poison control center. Rinse once daily after brushing, and do not eat or drink one half hour after use. Rinse using 10 mL (10 mL cup provided with package), or 3/4 of a tablespoon, and swish for a minute. This is an anti-cavity rinse. Use with brushing and flossing or brushing and waterpik for at-home tooth care. Read more
We have a water purifier in the house, and it does remove fluoride. Therefore, it's important for us to get our fluoride from another source. This product tastes good and is also like a mouthwash plus the fluoride we need. I recommend this product to anyone to prevent cavities and bad breath. Read more
