This is exactly what I needed! we have a solid metal door with 3 deadbolts so I wasn't worried about someone breaking into out house but I have two boys who like to open the door whenever someone is at the door. This product makes it so they cant open the door when my husband and I aren't around and provides a little extra security of knowing no one can get in! I bought this to keep my 3 year old from going outside without my knowing. don't like the look of traditional locks, looks like a hotel, and didn't want to drill into my new knotty alder wood door either. this lock was easy to install and only requires screwing into door frame. looks nice and modern. 2-year-old Granddaughter now can unlock and open doors. Got these to keep her from opening door and bolting out into street.They are easy to install, rugged, and look good. Perfect for kids n added extra great security, says our locksmith. Just make sure you install high off of door enough so it doesn't rest on the door. Easier to open if it's not laying flat against/on door...just slightly off of door. We also installed way on top of door, so it looks sleeker and not at all in reach of kids. Read more
