I hesitated to buy this due to some negative reviews, but after looking at a diff site that had much more favorable reviews for this same product, I took the plunge & ordered it from Amazon--and am GLAD I did! My needs: we have a 60 lb dog that does not like other dogs, and an adult child that recently became the "parent" to a female Great Dane puppy. When they visit, we needed a Tall (at least 36") and sturdy barrier to keep them apart--but something that would not block their views from being with the family in other rooms. Our opening is 60". This is perfect! It is the heaviest one I found, which is what I was looking for, so it would be more difficult for the dogs to push around/through, and it appears to be quite sturdy--and it is configurable & movable! It is easy to use one end of the gate as a door to get through, as well. This solved our problem.... Read more
The size and the ability to shape or configure as needed are why I purchased. The product works.. But it's very poor quality.. So the idea/concept is excellent and very needed but the delivery leaves much yo be desired1. If you try ti pick it up from one of the top vertical bars you may accidentally pull it apart. No wood glue holding the peices together. And omg very difficult to get all the peices back together2. The "feet" for stability, don't do to much stabilizing. Thry help to some degree but be aware, most likely the gate can not free stand unless it's configuration is that of a circle . Mine has some support of walls.I'm keeping the product because I haven't found a better option but it isn't really worth the money. If it were I'd buy 2 more.. My puppy needs the limitations . It is very difficult to find an attractive wooden gate that has individual panels that are 24 inches wide. I chose this one specifically for that reason. I ordered the espresso colored four panel wood gate. The first gate I received was Medal and not at all like what I ordered. The second gate was white and again a totally different gate from what I ordered. So I gave up. I ordered from a different company. Read more
These are really nice - we ordered two - wish I'd done this years ago. If you dog is really committed they can knock it around or learn to paw at it and open it - but my dog is older so we manage to foil his efforts most of the time. They look nice and are sturdy. Read more
Free standing gate that is great for closing off a hallway or blocking a coach.A little disappointed in the design as the feet have fallen off the bottom and the hinges are breaking free. I am sure it may be something we are doing, but this is my third fence and they seem to start falling apart after 90 days of everyday use (open and closing). Read more
This is a really great product after I fixed it. I'm only leaving a 3 Star review for a couple of reasons:- It would be great if an extra set of hinges came with the product. Two hinges on two separate panels were broken. I had to go to the hardware store for replacements rather than deal with the sending it back.- The feet on the bottom don't stay in. So if you don't slide the gat across the floor, the feet come off. We're still looking for a way to secure these. Read more
Overall it’s a nice gate. I wish the panels could fold either way and the finish could be improved. I added a hook/eye lock to the gate for additional support. Read more
Very happy!! Was fearful quality would be lacking. But much to my surprise these gates are very well made and stable. My puppy Westie stays where he can be seen; along with my 2 yr. old Collie. Even the cat can't jump these gates. Bought two. Looks very good with my decor. Read more
