I’ve been dealing with cold sores for 7 years, breakouts sometimes as often as once per month. I’ve tried absolutely everything from abreva to prescription anti-viral from the doctor. This is the first & only product that has worked for me. I’m no longer lucky enough to get the “tingling” sensation before a breakout so lately I’ve just been waking up with the start of the blister. I applied this to the small cold sore and it stopped it in its tracks! It stayed the same size and never actually blistered. So i was hesitant on buying this because alot of reviews imply that this is only to stop a cold sore so it doesn't get worse, in my case my sore already formed and was in the cracking, bleeding stage, it was as big as a penny and hurt sooo bad so i was looking for more of a solution to get rid of it rather then just stop it from getting worse, i thought meh 8 bucks isn't too bad to atleast make it feel better until i find something to completely take it away, however that was not the case, i just recieved this earlier today and have been applying it throughout the day and it is more then half GONE!!!! i cannot believe it!!! I never used medicines to help my sores, i usually just let time do its thing but it got to a point where it was terrible looking and hurt sooo bad. I am soooooo amazed by this stuff. Don't take 99% of what these reviews say when they say it's only to stop it from worsening, it actually takes it away!!! I will forever be buying this for my sores. I really like campophenique because it's cheaper and more effective than other cold sore treatments I've used. I've been getting many more cold sores these days because of stress. As soon as I feel a little itch come onto my lips, I smear this stuff in the affected spot. It stings a little, but I like because it makes me feel like it's working. I bought this in the middle of 2 sores, and 1 that was just forming, and it sped up the healing of the first 2, and cleared them in 3 days, and stopped the one that was starting from even turning into that ugly mucusy sore! I am very impressed. FYI though ,it does taste nasty, so try not to get it in your mouth or lick it off. Will keep this in the med cabinet every winter! Read more
