I have used this product in the past and loved it. Unfortunately this is not the same product... It's fake. Lucky for me, I had the original that I purchased at Target and ordered this as a back- up... Sorry I did! It's as if they took some hair product from another bottle and squeezed into the jar. I think it was actually the lotion that comes in the bottle( totally different formula) and nothing like the butter at all. I am a loyal Amazon shopper, but it irks me that many...and I mean MANY items sold here are not always the real deal. Many people are looking for deals and are being scammed. It's important to look at the reviews and the sellers' rating as well people. I ended up throwing it away because within 2 weeks ... It spoiled and turned green. I will continue to purchase this item from TARGET. Although I love Camille Rose's products.. I am not willing to sacrifice my hair for a cheaper price. Read more

I do not understand why this product is no longer available in Target or Walmart because it used to be. I love this product and it is becoming increasingly harder to find. This is the first time I ordered online as I am accustomed to purchasing this product in store. I really enjoy the fragrance and how well this product holds my curls. My curls stay moisturized up to 4-5 days with this product. I have never used it in the warmer months of the year, but only in cooler months, so I have yet to see if it performs the same in warmer weather with more humidity. I am very impressed with this product! Read more

First time using the Aloe whipped butter gel. I love Ms. Rose's products and use them on both me and my son's hair daily. This does define my curls ALOT..it does leave my hair shiny and it doesn't look dry. Its kind of stiff, but not hart if that makes sense. If you touch my hair, you can tell its a product in it, but its hard to tell that its a gel. Anywho, I will continue to use this product now and in the future! Read more

Full of film-forming humectants (i.e. aloe) and other great ingredients for dry, kinky, 4c hair like mine. Definitely a staple! It has "gel" in the title, but don't be fooled - this is a moisturizing, creamy leave-in for thirsty natural hair. I spray with aloe vera juice/water blend, follow with this creamy moisturizer, add a curl enhancer (Uncle Funky's Daughter curly magic), then seal with an oil blend - and my 4c hair has never been more moisturized and happy. You will LOVE the results! Read more

I'm not sure but besides the gel component maybe this product has additional proteins, which my hair is very sensitive to. It's very drying and makes my hair super hard and to my surprise this product leaves a lot of buildup and white residue in my hair. I have low porosity hair & for those of you that type, I’m a 4A/4B. I'm pretty disappointed based on all the high recommendations on YouTube plus these products are pretty expensive even on Amazon. I’ve found a better & trusted moisturizing combo in Mielle coil sculpting custard and Camille Rose curl maker. YES, I know the two are basically gels, and I hate gels BUT these combined are the most moisturizing products I’ve ever used. My wash n go’s last for 7-10 days as long as I refresh w/ water in the mornings and by day 4 or 5 add a small amount of either product back in or just use my Mielle curl refresh spray and my As I Am Jamaican blk castor oil water... My thirsty low porosity strands love this combo... See the YouTube vids on the jelly combo... Read more

this product is a must for high porosity naturals, with my hair seamlessly alternates between moisturized flat twists and lightly sculpted humidity defying twist outs. my hair is just too unpredictable with wash n gos (3b/c, very high porosity, single strand knots galore) so flat twists and twist outs keep things consistent and low manipulation. i highly recommend, a little goes a long way and you can reactivate it with a little water which is one of my favorite features of this product. Seriously if this product goes out of stock I will have a conniption. give. it. a. try. Read more

I purchased this product after reading the reviews, Ppl seem to like it. I can’t use a lot of products and I needed a good After Shampoo moisturizer. When I first used this product on my 4c freshly shampooed hair, it started to soften immediately! The longer it sat on my head, the straighter my strands got until I had to wash it out. And I was left with stringy ends. My hair is natural and really thick and dense. But not after using this product. My hair is still recovering. I’m not sure what ingredients caused my thick strong coarse texture to be compromised. But I don’t want to change my texture any thinner nor do I want to turn it curly nor wavy. I just want my thick texture to be moisturized. So I give this product a huge thumbs down for thinning down and partially straightening my textured locks! Read more

I have 2b/c hair and have tried using this product for a few weeks before writing a review to give it a chance.Yes, it moistures the hair but also makes it feel really greasy and heavy. It might not be the right product for my curls, but thought I’d give it a try since it’s curly girl method approved.Well - I will continue searching for the right product for my hair.
