I have serious issues on my hands, especially in winter: lots of cracking skin on my palms. My mom (a nurse practitioner to geriatrics - older folks in ALFs) told me about this when my kids were babies and constantly got diaper rash. This stuff is the BOMB! It knocked out any diaper rash quick. We ended up doing vaseline with almost all the diaper changes and used this when we had a diaper rash flare up and it works so fast. It really helped the kids because it feels cool and just helps with the irritation. My kids are tweens now but I still keep jars of this stuff around for when they clean their bottoms too roughly after going or when they get a scrape. My doctor recommended Calmoseptine for fungal rashes and it has cured them completely. I only use it now if I feel it may be coming on again, and it takes care of it ASAP. I used to scoff at that old menthol remedy. BUT, it does calm wicked itching for a while. Especially Intertrig under breasts.It's got drying zinc, and added calamine which really helps to create a skin barrier to keep skin dry and the nasty sweat away.Can use it for anything.. drying pimples, soothing itch. This stuff seems to be one of the few products that works on my incontinent granddaughter. She gets a lot of sores and if we are faithful in applying the ountment, it works very well as a “Barrier”.
