I bought this due to Target no longer carrying it in the store. First thing is you can tell the product isn't directly from California Baby, the label looks different than the pictures and the last bottle I bought at Target. The label is also peeling off on both bottles, like they didn't care about applying it flat. First time I used it I noticed that it felt different, a LOT more suds. I've been using the super sensitive for about a year, it doesn't really have any suds and takes a few pumps for my medium length hair. Whatever shampoo is sold in this bottle is not the same. Also after two days of using it my skin itches around my scalp, this only happens when I use other shampoos that have fragrance and sulphates. Do not buy this ripoff! Read more
Almost 10 years ago I bought this from Target. Every time I went there, I looked and most of the time it was out of stock. They stopped selling it after a few years, but I was hooked. Originally used for our baby, but one day I ran out of my expensive face wash and had to use this. It removed my mascara, MAC liquid liner and when I went to wipe my face with makeup remover after...nothing!!! Not only have I been saving $$$ on the price diff of face washes, but I no longer need to buy makeup remover. The maker sells in a gallon size of you want to buy directly. Read more
It’s a very good skin cleanser yet it doesn’t dry my skin. I have very sensitive skin and even my shampoo irritates my scalp. This I use all over, hair, face and body.No fragrance to irritate me and I feel very clean and fresh all day.Excellent for babies, but for me, I’ve been taking radiation treatment and this has been the most gentle to my skin and very protective.I Follow up with California Baby calendula cream. I have an eye condition called blepharitis. It requires frequent washing of the eyelids. Normally, baby shampoo is recommended. I tried a few good brands of baby shampoo. They all made my condition, worse. So I tried this product, and it's great. All my symptoms have subsided. I have also noticed that my skin looks younger and in better condition. I really can’t review this item yet. This is something my daughter was told to buy for my granddaughter by her Dr. We live in Duluth MN. And all the places that said they had this product, they did not in our area so I ordered this stuff hoping it works for my granddaughter and her sensitive skin issues. This is not the same California baby my son has been using since birth. He has severe allergies and this has been the only soap he’s ever been able to use (My son is 12 now) He had an immediate adverse reaction to it. I checked the ingredient list and it seems twice as long a previous and unfortunately I threw the old bottle out so I can’t compare, but I’m 100% positive there is several ingredients on there that weren’t on the original. The only shampoo that my daughters skin and hair tolerate. So far all other brands we have tried give her terrible reddness, cradle cap, and dry skin. Her ears get crusty but with this shampoo irritation is zero. Read more
