Ordered California Baby Moisturizing Cream after seeing it recommended by moms, for baby acne, on BabyCenter. After using for a couple of days, I noticed that there was no expiration date on the jar. I immediately requested a replacement through amazon and received it two days later. The cream has been great for my one month old’s baby acne. I tried breastmilk and coconut oil, this cream was the only one that cleared my baby’s skin. I use it as a moisturizer after baths and I’m also using it on her eczema and it’s helping to clear that up. Great product! My baby is 100% African American and it works for us too. I know sometimes I am skeptical about the products I use because everything isn’t for black babies skin. I’d recommend to all mommies that don’t want to “wait” until baby acne clears on its own. When my baby was just a few weeks old she started getting what everyone said was baby acne. But it got worse and worse so we took her to her pediatrician who said it could be a form of cradle cap on her face. She prescribed an anti fungal cream and said to keep it covered in an ointment 24/7. We started doing that and it cleared up in a few days. But then it kept trying to come back, and the anti fungal cream wasn’t helping. So I put ointment on it and that helped. We took her back to the pediatrician and she said it was probably just sensitive skin and to keep it hydrated with a good moisturizer.Well I was so sick of using ointment. It’s sticky and gets everywhere, baby was getting it all over her hands and into her eyes, it never soaked in and baby lotion wasn’t cutting it so I went on the hunt for a good non toxic gentle cream that would really be hydrating.I found this and read the reviews from other mama’s who said it helped their babies with the same issue. It also scored a 3 on the think dirty app (ewg scale) no the ingredients were very clean and thought I would give it a try.It is amazing. It’s very light but extremely hydrating. It is not oily at all. A tiny bit goes a long way and it keeps her skin feeling soft and moisturized for 24 hours. Since using this (a few months now) we have had NO BREAKOUTS! Which is saying a lot because she kept getting them every few weeks!I put it on her every morning or ever other morning because sometimes her face still feels soft and hydrated from the application the day before. First, let me say I dislike any strong scent. I would give it more points if it’s unscented. Maybe the lavender is part of the medicine?Second, I’m pretty surprised that this cream worked for my baby’s eczema as fast as it did. My baby has had the rash for at least 3 weeks already and it’s been getting worse. Just 1(one) day of applying this cream and the redness is almost all gone. Now I’m a little concerned about what might be in this.Third, the 2oz. container is pretty small. Then I discover the bottom of the jar is all air instead of cream. What I mean is the jar is like one of those insulated cups with 2 layers and air in the middle. It makes it look bigger, which means there’s actually even less cream in there than what my eyes see.Anyway, this product actually works well and I won’t really need the whole jar to heal my baby’s eczema. I was really skeptical about trying this for baby acne because I kept hearing and reading not to use anything and to just wash his face. The acne would look so red and angry that I couldn’t believe it wasn’t bothering him (I know, I know— he probably didn’t mind it at all!). After our pediatrician said that it was fine to try this I figured we would give it a go, and I’m blown away by how well it worked! After a few days of use our 6 week old still has a few little spots, but barely noticeable and the only places that the acne still looks angry are in the spots I missed with the cream (chin and neck). As an added bonus our little guy loves the smell and he calms right down when we use it, especially on his little chest! My son had pretty bad baby acne when he was a few weeks old and this was the only product that helped. Now he’s 20 months old and he gets occasional red/dry patches on his cheeks. I’ve tried Cerave Baby but I think it stings on damaged skin because he really hates it and it wasn’t working to heal the dry patches. So I started using California Baby again and he LOVES it – he actually leans forward when I go to apply it to his cheeks, it’s so cute. My poor baby at 1.5 months developed a really bad rash on her face that lasted 2 weeks. We thought it was a heat rash, but it turned out to be baby acne, which is common in breastfed babies. I tried aquaphor, but it did little to calm the inflammation. Another mom suggested the california baby calendula cream, so I tried it. Seriously, after the first day, I already noticed improvement of the rash and her face looked terrible!!! After 2-3 more days, the acne cleared up!! Before this came along, I was nearly at the brink of using hydrocortisone cream, which should be used sparingly, if at all, since a baby's skin is thinner and would absorb the drug. As others have said, I haven’t ever bothered to write reviews before...however i feel compelled to wish this. My son developed baby acne at 2 weeks and it has been getting progressively worse over the past 2 weeks with yellow crusts (cradle cap) forming over his entire face and head. He’s a little beauty but it was very upsetting to look at. I tried a couple of other creams which didn’t seem to do anything other than perhaps aggravate it. I read posts talking about this cream and thought it was worth a try. I kid you not, within a couple of hours the redness had gone down and the dry flakes disappeared. By day two both cradle cap and acne have pretty much completely disappeared.Couldn’t recommend highly enough. My baby’s skin is now so soft again. Great product. Read more

Bought this after being diagnosed with Periol Dermatitis omg amazing product calmed redness & itching within hours don't normally write reviews but hated this condion but this cream definitely helped bought it after days researching this condition & after cleansing with coconut oil toning with Apple cider vinegar then a natural yogurt face mask then this cream Amazing results it's definitely worth doing as this is an awful condition especially if like me you have always had good skin so please give it a go if like me u we're in tears looking at yourself in the mirror but £25 for tiny tub Trust me well worth it hope this helps Read more

My baby boy had baby acne when he was two weeks old. His skin was awful...really inflamed with red raised lumps with white heads. I tried everything medically suggested first before getting to my whits end and googling it. I come across a forum where a few mum's suggested this cream. Desperate for any kind of relief, I ordered it. Within a few hours of the first application, the redness of the rash came down dramatically. I didn't know whether it was just me being optimistic and believing other mum's stories calling it a miracle cream.
