I've used a pumice stone for my hands for several years, typically at the end of a shower when the skin has softened enough to grind away with the stone. This has worked fairly well, but I still tended to rip relatively frequently and my calluses never really were reduced. I saw the CaliCure and figured I'd give it a shot, it seemed like a solid concept.Total game changer. I used this the first day I got it, and after a minute or so on each hand, my calluses were the best they've ever been. My rough hand days are behind me with CaliCure, and I'm confident that hand rips will be a rare occurrence going forward.Definitely get the longer version, I think it's worth the extra few bucks to have the leverage!One feature/option I would like to see would be some sort of cover for the actual sanding portion, almost like a pen cap. I had my CaliCure in the same compartment that my wallet was inside my gym bag and it scratched the leather up a bit. Read more
I use this before climbing and it works surprisingly well. No more flappers from fat calluses. The large one is handy to use, but it's too expensive. Just some heavy duty sand paper on a plastic stick. You could probably make this with a wooden dowel, glue, and some expensive sand paper for less than $3. Read more
I've only had mine since July of 2020, using it only 2 times a month and the sand paper material is starting to peel and fall off. I'm hoping the company will see this and get back to me on a resolution on this. I'm disappointed it didn't even last a year. The sandpaper material still looks new but "glue" used to keep it together is falling apart. Read more
This thing gets the calluses off my hands, mainly my fingers. I can put my hand in my pocket and not turn it inside out when I remove it. Gets rid of all the dry, crackly stuff. I've had it a few months and still effective. Read more
